I don't think a traditional wedding = Cinderella style wedding, but that's just me.

I think that two people should have whatever wedding they can afford.

I'll probably have a traditional wedding, but not a Cinderella wedding.

I didn't vote, because it's not like a yes or no thing for me... I think if a bride really, really wants a Cinderella wedding she should get it. I don't think a bride should plan a wedding that would make her groom miserably uncomfortable, but I think a wedding is really the bride's day. A groom's job (IMO) is to just show up on time

I agree. I watch a lot of wedding shows, and I never understand why some people go into debt trying to achieve their perfect wedding....be sensible people.

I also don't think the day is only about the bride, they are both entering the marriage, so the day should be about both of them IMO.

My wedding was awesome. It cost $3000 for EVERYTHING and everyone had a BLAST!!! No, this was not one of those barnyard weddings. I had a nice outfit, DH in a shirt & tie. We each had 1 person stand up with us etc...etc..

I would rather have a down payment on a HOME or to furnish the one you've got...or save the $$$$ for that matter then spend the average $18,000-$25,000 for ONE DAY of the rest of your life. For those that HAVE the $$$ to do this, great but why go into debt to start your life?????

It's the matters of the heart that make a wedding, no matters of the center pieces or what color/length the bridesmaids gowns are!!! JMHO

Nay. I want a simple wedding. Having a Cinderella wedding is too much stress and money IMO.

If by "cinderella wedding" you mean going ALL out I would have to vote YAY!!! I am married but will renew my vows next year at my Dads church with a Tiffanys theme wedding and reception. My dad has even agreed to allow us to be driven from church to banquet hall in his Vintage Phantom Rolls Royce (completely decorated with cans, doves, bells, little Tiffany boxes, writing etc) I'm definitely over the top and my ceremony will be too... I cant wait!!!

I want a Cinderella wedding... I'm actually planning on getting married at Walt Disney World at their wedding pavilion, which I guess will make mine super!Cinderella-esque. Everything Disney is a bit over the top haha.

However, I think everyone should have the kind of wedding they want to have. I went to a small wedding, intimate wedding a few weeks ago and it was absolutely lovely. My brother's getting married in July and it's going to be a MONSTER of wedding [200+ people, probably more than 300+] and I think it's going to be equally as nice.

Nay...but it wasn't my choice.

I'm an only child, so while I would have loved a destination wedding on the beach I was vetoed by my parents.

I am with you 100%.

if I could pay for an expensive wedding with one check, then sure why not? Assuming I don't have other financial responsiblities.

Otherwise, go cheapo on the wedding (like at the court house) and splurge on the wedding photos (thats all folks remeber anyway). I would have a big reception for the family though.

I had a "Cinderella" wedding. It took 9 months to plan and was the most stressful time in my life. I was so consumed with being politically correct and inviting everyone and their mother that it wasn't fun for us. We don't talk to literally 80% of our wedding guests anymore, but felt obligated to invite them.

My dress had a 12 foot train, everything had to be "perfect", blah blah blah....
The dress now sits in my closet, the silk flower arrangements are still at my mom's, and all that's left are my husband and myself.

If I had to do it over again, I would keep it small: family and close friends.

Nowadays, too much time is spent planning the wedding instead of the marriage. That's what's most important.

Will you please post pics. I know I'm just a stranger but that sounds simply FABULOUS!!! Does Disney have Cinderella - themed packages too?
