it's YOUR wedding, you can do what YOU want!
You can have 3 bears and a juggling clown if you want

I had one MoH, one bridesmaid and 1 jr bridesmaid that was 8 yrs old!

oh, and I chose the color to be navy blue, but I let the girls choose their own dress. I liked that each gal had a dress THEY looked perfect in, not a prom dress throw back
I went w/ them and "approved" the dresses but it was easy, we all agreed quickly on what we liked together.

Definitely do it your way! I wanted just one maid of honor but ended up having matching bridesmaids as a concession to please my mother. It turned out OK in the end but it wasn't really my heart's desire.

I had my MOH and 1 bridesmaid, DH had a Best man and a MOH (his best friend is a girl!) - it was very simple, all the females wore the same dress and looked beautiful in it.

You can do whatever you want!!!! :) It is your wedding! No regrets ok?

Perfectly fine. My only wedding that matters to me I had my adult daughter as my MOH, and I had NO bridesmaids. Of course, at my age, I was lucky to find someone who didn't need hits of oxygen during the ceremony, and a difibulator standing by....

^LOL! you are wickedly funny, Speedy.

I say do what you want. I had one MOH who was my soul sister (well, she was there to witness when we eloped!)

I had no bridesmaid, not even a maid of honor. I had a wedding of 8 people, that included the photographer and the minister. Anything you want, it's your day!

DF and I are each having 1 person stand up with us - my sorority sister and his brother. I told my MOH to pick any black dress she wanted to wear. I'd rather have bridesmaids look and feel good in the dress they're wearing than have 9 girls of all different shapes and sizes in the same dress! It's supposed to be an honor to be a BM or MOH, but I can't say that I'd be thrilled to be asked to be one in most weddings. Do what makes you happy. Don't create a circus wedding if you don't want one!

My older sister did the same thing as you - didn't have any bridesmaids and only had me as her MOH. I don't think there is a right or wrong when it comes to stuff like this. Have fun and enjoy your day!

My sister only wanted one too - me.
It was a big ceremony, with about 350 people, but she just didn't like the whole bridesmaid thing. She wasn't too big on planning for the event either - she and my BIL had the wedding planner deal with it all, and everything was perfect. I don't think anybody thought it was weird or anything.
