I've been trying to find someone to listen to me about my current feelings and besides my boyfriend, I just feel like I need more responses and opinions on wether or not I should even be feeling this sadness and anger.

Well, recently I just graduated from High School (June 13th, 2008). It was a happy day of course. I wasn't too afraid of the whole "you will lose your friends after high school talk" because I only have about 5 bestfriends and many of them aren't going to colleges far away, out of these 5 I have 2 whom I am really close to. 1 gay bestfriend and 1 girlfriend (not literally.) I'm going to be attending fashion school with my gay bestfriend and him and I are inseperable, we talk everyday, go out every other day, and well, will be going to school together, so we're like together forever..

BUT, as for my girlfriend.... lately.. WAIT, CROSS THAT OUT, ever since the month of MAY, I realized... she was "changing".

Signs of her "changes".
- sleeping everyday after school til night time < not normal
- waking up late and being LATE TO SCHOOL!
- we usually talk on the phone EVERYNIGHT < she stopped calling me/answering my calls

Those were the changes BEFORE we graduated.

Now, the last time we "actually" hung out was during a graduation party held at her house. After that, this entire summer I have not heard from her or SEEN her.

Until, one day, she called me and she wanted to hang out and we did. I occasionally get bored and I look at her pictures in her camera and guess what I find? Pictures of a board with "_____@BLOGTV.COM". She quickly snatches the camera away from me but I resist to let go. I ask her what it was all about and she finally tells me the entire story. She tells me that she recently discovered this website called BLOGTV.COM where people go on their webcam LIVE, allowing the entire internet to view you broadcasting right from where your webcam is showing. She also told me she was "quite popular" on there. She also told me "she met a guy".

Okay, so I started getting concerned. So that night, when I got home I decided to go onto the website and search up her username. I couldn't find it but my younger sister happened to find it for me. As I view her from my computer screen, I see her "co-hosting" with random people over the world? Sometimes OLD men, sometimes GIRLS OUR AGE, sometimes BOYS our age, all kinds of different people.

So I finally figured out WHY she was always sleeping during the day time, it was because of THIS NEW HOBBIE OF HERS. She's usually up broadcasing during 11pm-6am. That explains her lack of energy during the daytime. And why she never calls me or ignores my call during the night time...

Sigh. To be honest, I'm quite hurt. I feel like we're drifting apart?

There's more.

Recently, she went to LAS VEGAS with her family and guess what I find out?
SHE MET UP WITH SOMEONE SHE CAMS WITH ON BLOGTV.COM.

So there's a call for danger.

I find out she lies to me.
How?
I go onto the website, I used a false username and I ACTUALLY CALL HER ON THE PHONE, (while I am watching her), I ask her to hang out and she lies to me telling me shes babysitting when she's actually HOME ALONE ON BLOGTV.COM.

Not only am I hurt that she never contacts me anymore, but she might be endangered somehow...... what should I do?

I'm sorry she lied and said she was baby sitting. That was really uncool. And yes, meeting people can be dangerous. But lets HOPE she had common sense and she met that person in a PUBLIC place with a friend?? A lot of people meet people from the internet. It's not looked so down upon like it was a few years ago.

Sad to say, I think it's best to forget about a friendship because it seems she has?? But who knows. We can't jump to conclusions because we do not know her half of it ya KWIM? If I were you (this is me, it's not for everyone) I'd maturely tell her what you know. Let her explain. And take it from there. It will pave itself out to weather she's ignoring you on purpose wanting to drop the friendship. Or if she's having a hard time juggling her online life and her IRL one.

BTW, like your friend, I sleep in forever because my butt is always on tPF til wee WEE hours of the morning.. like sometimes up til 6 am!!

Thanks for your advice oo0ehxtahcee0oo & FourEyedFreak. I really think I should talk to her about it first and see how she feels or thinks about this. I should do that soon.. actually asap! I really miss her :(

OH. And not to sound like a stalker but I wake up everyday to take my little sister to school around 7am and I go on the computer (mainly for THIS FORUM) AHHHA, and I check if she's on BLOGTV.COM and well, she is......

I personally find webcamming with ANY STRANGER very awkward and dangerous....

YOU ARE NOT! I do the same thing It's 2:36am where I live (LA) and oh my goodness..... I take my little sister to school at 7am and my eyes BURN! And I'm only 17 and my eye bags are really dark..... I constantly twitch like this smiley over here too.. TPF is such an addiction!!!!!!!!

at least she called!! and remember when approaching her, remember to be as respectful as possible and nooo finger pointing. just let her know you've missed her a lot, and enjoy the friendship you two have. and ask her if there's anything you should know?? if you must, u can bring up that you are worried about the whole web cam thing. i know you'll do great!!

Well, I'm not saying that webcamming with strangers AND meeting them ISN'T dangerous, but you're sort of doing the same thing.... You meet AWESOME strangers on tPF and you talk to them, sort of like what she's doing?

hehee, darling i live in the bay area so were in the same time zone!! lol. i go to bed when DF wakes up.. and wake up an hour or so after he gets home at like 1-2. heheee. but when summer is over ill be back to sleeping at 3am (bc im tPFin!!), waking up a 6am.. sooo bad!!

everyone has different comfort zones. DF thinks im a nut job for spending soooo much time on tPF and wanting to meet some ladies. even for group meet up in public places. he wathes sooo much of those 20/20 shows and he's a criminal justice major and thinks everyone online is a rapist or murderer! but im fine with it, him not so much.

when DF and i were apart we would webcam, and i remember once we were using a public chat room and using the PM form to see each other and talk, and still WE felt weird. haha. thank goodness there are private ways to now webcam without others able to see!!

That's EXACTLY what I used to compare... but then again, I do still call her and try to make dates for us.. over all I think it's just because I miss her presence... it's like she dissapeared ever since she found that website.

And I realized, there are HANDBAD meets that are made on tPF too, so I guess that can be like her meeting with her BLOGTV friends?

OVERALL, I just miss her.. and wish she would find a balance?

I'm just creeped out by how ANYONE can be viewing her... and trust me... you DO NOT want to visit the website.. it doesn't look like there are much "normal" people on it... there's alot of "old" men, now, not to be mean or judgemental or anything but isn't that kind of creepy or is it just me?

I never webcammed on public servers.. always private.. even with private servers, I still feel like there are "hackers" that may still see me. Now, I don't do anything "explicit" on cam or anything illegal, etc.. but I think it's because of my personal experience of having a 'peeping tom' which is why I have this view on being seen by other people not knowing REALLY SCARES ME ...

i think sometimes people are more walking on eggshells when its people chatting in public places via web cam bc most of the time.. those people want to see dirty things from the other camera. i would have never really thought, until DF and i were trying to use our web cam and need a site to use.. OMG my eyes burned with what i saw!! maybe things changed now and they dont have those sites. (although the site we tried said nothing nasty was to be shown because ANYONE could click to see your cam)

i think its always hard in the beginning of ANYTHING. even in new relationships. ya know, when you they get a new bf/gf they spend alllll their time with them?? this is just.. a website!! in time they will learn balance. however, i STILL havent learned balance with tPF..
