Yes, the Gray with black patent trim and the diamond quilted versions had chain straps, which I did not care for. Love the leather strap.
Yes, the bloggers bag is also raspberry. It's very similar to the old 09 burgundy leather, but not as thick and not quite as dark in color.

After using her yesterday and today, I am even more in love.

Ok, I weighed it twice because I could hardly believe my eyes the first time. Empty, but with the strap attached it weighed in at 1# 2oz. Obviously, how much you put inside will greatly change the weight or not, so given the size of the bag, it could get heavy if it's very full. I don't carry all that much, so this will be perfect!!
