I love the Steady bag & I can even get it on my shoulder with the hand held straps, so you don't need to use the longer strap, if you don't want to. I first purchased the Steady in the Sterling color & returned it...the gold color/leather is like "crumpled" gold foil, I wasn't sure if the leather would stand the test of time & it was too bright for me. Now I have the Dusty (Taupe) color & it's GRREEAATT plus the HW is silver & I really needed some HW other than gold.
The trimming on Dusty colored Steady bag is really unique too...it's a embossed leather/suede like combo that looks like a snake skin or something & it has some silver accents in it. The open/closure is really easy on this bag b/c it's magnetic...so it's very easy access & your stuff is secured b/c the flap totally closes the bag. My bag is buttery soft & at times I feel like the leather will tear/rip if I do too much but I am not hard on my bags & I don't have any kids..so no worries yet. It's a great bag to have!

knasarae- I have a ton of modeling shots floating around here.. I will find up the links. Also I'd like to add that that the steady can be worn over the shoulder (very comfortably) and in the crook of your arm etc.. The handles on the steady are a bit longer than the MAM making it a bit more comfortable. Not to mention your've got the shoulder strap as well. The steady is an amazing bag. I'll go hunt down my old hread.. brb!

I have the mattie in night which is why I know how fabulous your steady must be!! Isn't it some of the best leather you've ever seen? I can't get enough of it

I just got my night steady at the LA sample sale and I have been using it non-stop. I love this bag for work and I have plans for it as my purse carryon for a trip that I am taking later on this year.
I actually usually carry it by the shoulder strap -- which is amazing since bags do not typically stay on my shoulders (I have weird, sloping shoulders). But it is comfortable to carry on your arm too. I actually love the magnetic closure, because the magnets keep the flaps closed, but it is still relatively easy to open the bag and you don't scratch your hand on the zipper. If the Steady comes out in other colors that I love, I'll probably pick up another one. Also, I am planning on taking pictures of my bags this weekend and so I should have some pics of my steady on the forum soon. |

^^^Yes I love the shoulder strap too, I must have shoulders like yours because normal shoulder bags don't stay on (like the nikki.)

^^^Thinking about it, the Nikki worked for me when I tried one on that was totally stuffed, but it must have weighed 10 pounds, can't carry that around every day.
