Didn't know where else to post this... seems like the right place!

I've been wondering aloud about the actual weight of the Steady Tote, as I have neck and shoulder issues lately. It actually drove my decision to get the Ananas bag because they are almost weightless... but the Steady has me in its clutches.

I asked about the weight at JC Madison and they kindly replied:

"The Steady weighes just shy of 2 1/2 lbs. Some bags can be very heavy but the steady is fairly light."

So there you are! Thanks everyone for these awesome forums. I like to research stuff before I buy and there's more into here than I can even absorb!!

Anyone have any thoughts?
I just saw the Steady in Dusty/Silver Spot and I loved it...the color is a bit darker than on the LB site. I'm not a big black purse carrier though so I could be a little biased. But like you said, you could always return it to Bloomie's if you don't like it..

I was considering the steady because I wanted to venture out to something different. But now I think I have to see IRL. Thanks for the thread. It was very informational.

I worry about this too, but I love the idea of a huge carryall. I'm thinking of using the steady or a MAB as a quasi-weekender or hip office "pursecase".

Ye gods I love big bags.

I'm a very tall girl and it looks good on me, but just barely! It's a big bag and hangs rather low which might be an issue if you are shorter. So I agree that more petite girls should make sure to try it on first or make sure the place you are buying it from has a good return policy.

Default Tell me about the steady...
I'm totally ing the steady in BOTH sterling and dusty/sliver, but I am not finding many good pictures, and I don't know how the insides are pocket-wise. And is it going to fit on my shoulder without using the strap? And just how sparkle-y IS the sterling? Is it going to be hard to keep clean?

What do you love/hate about the steady?

TIA for your thoughts!

I really love mine! As for the pockets it is the same as her other bags.. two slit pockets for cell phone/ pda etc.. and one bigger zippered wall pocket. Other than that the space is one large compartment.

The steady fits perfectly on my shoulder without the shoulder strap.. in fact I find that the steady is more comfortable to wear on your shoulder than the MAM.. It is about equal to the Matinee tho. The Matinee & Steady's handles are a bit longer than the MAMs..
The sterling is very shiny but not in a totally bling bling way.. it's a soft shine that I am really enjoying.. I think this is due to the silver hardware. If it had gold hardware it would be too much shine but the combination of the sparky leather & silver hardware is awesome. As for keeping clean I think it's easier than say a matte bag.. This bag is not easily scuffed since it is quite textured.. but I think you need to be fairly careful with it since it's a lighter colored bag. This doesn't bother me though b/c I am careful with ALL my bags anyway.

Hope this helps!!

Thanks!

That sterling color seriously makes my heart skip a beat... so pretty! I'm just nervous that the color will be more 13 year-old chunky glitter than 26 year-old (me) classy sparkle...

Are there any codes for lunaboston that work on RM?

No codes on RM at all, and when people post that there are, most of the time they dont realize they exclude RM
