Just for kicks I thought I'd lay them all out.. I'm sure everyone is a bit tired of analyzing blues but I happen to find pics of all three colors and wanted to share.

I think I would need to see all these colors in person as picture colors and natural varies everythign so much but they are all very similiar!

Very true MSG- to be fair.. my Royal mini nikki didn't actually look that dark. It actually looked EXACTLY like iris & navy luxe.. funny enough.

This is the color I wanted when I placed my pre-order! I am hoping that I still love the color when it arrives but this color, this dark navy with slight sheen, is what I dreamed of having. I'm obsessed I guess with analyzing this too because I just cannot understand the major difference between this picture and what we're seeing now. I am hoping it is simply a matter of lighting.

Well....if anything we are leaving Beano's navy thread alone.

There is a HUGE color difference. If anything...VLAD's camera is showing what the color the Navy Luxe should be...the beau and Oliver look the same. Those are navy...everthing else is just different and not NAVY IMO. There has to be a mistake somewhere..because NAVY is NAVY!!!!!

This sucks.

I think it is only a matter of lighting b/c if you notice beanos close-up pic it actually looks identical to this picture. The only problem being that I think the lighter pictures are more accurate since the bag will most likely be in natural lighting the majority of the time. When I saw this bag in person it looked lighter to me rather than how it looks up above. I'm sure it will look darker though in the right lighting.

Well the NL Nikki and the NL Oliver in the pics above CAN'T be the same...I don't think even the lighting and the best/worst photography could make that much of a difference! It's a real let down, imo for those who were expecting one thing and will be receiving another...

LR- For the record, I was writing this as you posted, so I am not commenting off of what you said above, just giving my two cents...;-)

Still eating my peppermint bon-bon....I think when that reliable eBay seller sells her acutally mini navy luxe nikki...we shall see the true color too. She is darn good and a reliable photographer too. Is is saturday yet....come on...need to see this darn bag.

Poor beano having to put up with us obsessing!! I still like it enough to continue to pursue it and complete my purchase rather than bug Amy to change my color choice. It isn't what I had hoped for nor what I expected but I cannot be sure until I actually have it in my hands. We know lighting can really change how the color appears in a photo. How crazy, huh?

ETA:

I can see now the Iris Nikki is the same as my iris MAM. Part of the confusion is navy is not a true navy blue, I would call it sapphire. I love color, I could talk about color all night.
