I was able to do the same thing as well. I was curious about the company as well so did some research, one of the articles said that you can also email customer service for an invite.

^^ I've ordered two things and they both came really quickly (the next day, because I think they ship from NYC) and in perfect condition. BUT it was gloves and a bra - not exactly items likely to be faked, and I wouldn't notice if they were. In general, though, Gilt is widely thought to sell authentic merchandise. Plus, RM isn't really "faked" so I wouldn't worry too much. I'd say it's a pretty "safe" site.

Has anyone thought about emailing Catalina or Rebecca to ask what Gilt will have there?

By "safe" I meant more like do they sell your email address to other companies and allow encryption during checkout.

There's now a video up on gilt.com (go to "sneak peak") - it looks like the bags that will be offered are the older styles that are on the RM website.

Catalina emailed me back and told me that she has no clue about Gilt and would ask Rebecca - I will report back when I get more info!

i bet you the bags that will be on sale are the ones that are currently on Rebecca's website right now. she probably just wants to get rid of them & figured this would be the easiest way to do a sale through anoither party.

Bah, that would suck. I have my eyes set on my very first RM-- I am hoping for a Morning After bag in Wine..or perhaps Emerald. I do like another bag that it in stock on her website, I forget the name of it but it's a ginormous slouchy shoulder bag that Hilary Duff was pictured wearing.
