I'm hoping a could find an exceptional deal on a green mam bag. It's the last original color I want before the newer colors come out. Maybe after Christmas I will find one.

Does anyone know what happens to the bags from RM that don't sell after this 3rd sale. Are they further discounted?

I will pass on the suede...

I really want the classic one, if possible a mini... and hope to find it at a good price before leaving for France for the holidays... :)

Looks like mission impossible...

My French friends -and my sister - would be so jealous :))

oh, sorry! it really sounded like you wanted to buy one off eBay. I have not seen any RM knockoffs yet, hopefully we never will.

Yeah, I thought the exact same thing when i first read richprincess' post. Phew, now that we've got that cleared up. With respect to your question, I haven't heard of there being any fakes. However, that can't last forever, especially because there are so many variations of the MA and MAM. There are a couple of people who have bought from someone, I can't remember the seller's name, but I'm sure a search will turn it up. I think your best bet is to see what is available from eBay and check on here and/or with the company to make sure that they made a bag in that color etc.
Happy hunting!

So far not heard of knock-offs. I would feel pretty secure buying an RM from eBay right now. However, that can't last too long. I really check out who I buy from on Ebay. I even go to their completed auctions to make sure they are not selling tons of bags.

Okay, I dont mean to cause an uproar here but there is one itty bitty little thing that I kind of dont like about the MA: The long tassel type things. I admit they are super cute but i dont like how they are so long. I am wondering if it would be possible to have my MA/MAMs modified by having the tassels made shorter. Does anyone think this might be feasible?

Gung aren't the new bags next wear from the other pics thread without the tassel and just the a bigger metal hardware tabs? I really liked that when I saw the new pics!

I think that's kind of annoying too with how it dangles and will probably get dirtiest easiest. It's the only annoying thing about the bag but not TOO annoying for me. It looks like it would be hard too modify when I look closer at the bag. At first look, it looks like you can take the whole part out with that knot but the tabs at the end are thumbtacked together tight it looks like. I wouldn't want to rip it apart to find out either but my cat sure does lol

Gung, go for the studded MA. Solves the whole long tassel issue.

Actually I'm surprised to hear that indie brands too are being knocked off. I'm curious to know whether they're produced in the US or in China or Korea. In my part of the world, only high-end designer brands like LV, Prada, Gucci etc. get faked. Maybe the pirates are becoming more savvy.

Okay, be honest, what do you guys think?

first pic is the before pic, second pic is the after pic

I like it! The tassels were soooooo long and a pain to deal with on this bag. Now, they are short(er) and more perky IMO
