And now that we know the situation ahead of time we can prepare to be patient while we wait for our bags and/or try to get thru via email or phone or however she decides to do it.
These are really good ideas and it would be great if she could do them so I am all for it! but also wanted to say that even if they are not feasible on their and, I am up for ordering however works, as long as I can get a fabulous bag at a discounted price!

I totally agree that putting a sample sale is a logistical nightmare, especially given the multiple dimensions of it. I also think that having a solid plan that makes it easier for customers to get what they want and allows people to accurately manage their expectations (availability of colors/styles, ship time, etc) will only help in taking the amazing amount stress that must be put on Rebecca's staff during events like these. The better informed people are, the lower probability that they'll have anything to complain about. It doesn't even necessarily have to be anything formal on Rebecca's part. For example, if ordering was exactly like before where it was first come first we could do something on our end. Like a thread with what you ordered so people have a rough estimate of what might be available and at what cost. If she were able to give prices (or a range), styles and colors that might be available or even that appx. X number of dream bags will be available we could approximate the availability of items.
I mean at the end of the day if even no changes are made to the sample sale procedure, I'll be frantically calling in just like everyone else on here.

ok back to finals, sigh...
