Rebecca Minkoff's Hot Spot

I just went to Nordstrom's today because I had to see the matinee in person, I had ordered one in wine for full price and was feeling a little anxious about it. Anyway, I had to cancel my order because it is just too big for me :(. I don't mean this to turn anyone else off the bag because big on me is not big on another person. I am short and unfortunately the mini ma also looked too big for me. But, I saw the dream bag in person in black, oh my goodness is that bag gorgeous. It is a big bag too but I think it is a pretty unstructured satchel and the suede sides are squooshy so it did not look huge. It was really pretty. Rebecca...if you ever pass by this thread again..can I beg you for a mini matinee??? Sometime maybe down the road?

There is something about the design of that bag that is perfect, I love it but I need it to be like 2 or 3 inches shorter :( Oh btw the matinee there was in eggplant. The colour is not too brown at all but rather a medium burgundy, so pretty and the leather was great, not as squishy as the black but silky, it did have a balenciaga-ish quality to it and a lovely light sheen

, that would definately be a colour I would buy an RM in. Sorry for such a long, rambling post.

madaboutdarcy--keep us posted on an official RM home. believe it or not, i'm still waiting on my first RM bag to arrive to me! a sage MA. anyone else have a sage MA then can post pics off (just to get me more excited!)? ;-)

Anyone know when her spring line will be available in stores? I think maybe she said end of January; is that right?

Does anyone know if it's still possible to find a chocolate/dark brown Nikki (regular size) with gold hardware anywhere? I've checked all the places that come up in a google search and haven't found it still available anywhere.

I saw it at a local boutique by me in the Lower East Side. The store is called Shop. I don't remember if it had gold hardware or silver hardware, but the # is 212-375-0304

I posted an ISO RM Matinee in Wine thread a week or so ago. I found one on sale for 30% off at Muse Ten!

I can't wait till it gets here! I'll post on the pics thread when I get it. I've been looking for this bag forever, since I don't have a red bag.

I decided to try out the Morning After...I'd like to go with a very basic neutral like black because I feel it will last for years and years...any recommendations on where I can get one? I'm not particular about the hardware although I'd prefer gold...

Here are pics of my scrumptious ShopBop exclusive matinee in purple with red suede flaps. The color of the bag is slightly more purple IRL and the flaps are darker - more burgundy. The leather is ultra-soft and distressed - absolutely beautiful. I keep wondering if the black Shopbop one would have the same leather. Its tempting to get that one, too.

Can someone who owns a Nikki and MAM give me the pros and cons of each? I have my eye on a Nikki that I think I'll just love but I also kind of like the MAM in the blue/black stamped. Which do you prefer and why? I know the straps of the MAM can go over your shoulder but is it comfortable to carry as a shoulder bag? TIA!

Don't have a Nikki, but I can tell you that it's not very comfortable to carry the MAM over the shoulder. because the bag is so wide the straps will keep falling off. It's also a bit of a heavier bag (although, that could be because i'm always carrying so much in it!) so it's not too comfortable over the arm either. But it IS a really really cute bag that gets you a lot of attention!
