I like it! The tassels were soooooo long and a pain to deal with on this bag. Now, they are short(er) and more perky IMO
def more practical now. if only the tassels had little end-caps...

It's cute. Maybe you can knot them at the end with a flattened sort of knot so it doesn't fray? The fraying is the only thing I'm worried about but if RM had made shorter tassels to begin with, it would have been nice!

Definitely like the shorter tassel. If the knot doesn't work out, you might be able to find some sort of thing that could work as an end cap at a fabric store. Or you could just fold a small part of the tassel over and sew it to create a more finished and less likely to fray end.

I like how you shorten the tassels GUNG! I have to admit too that they are way too long lol

^thank you! Keep in mind, however, that the bag I did it on was an older version of the MAM, without the end metal trim, so all I had to do was snip it. I dont suggest shortening the tassels on the newer MAM/MA's whatsoever, unless its done by someone experienced in sewing, because of the metal trim involved.

I actually like the tassels on mine the way they are...I wonder if the tassels will come back after this new 08 season's studded ones...does anyone know? I esp like the little touch of the mini D rings at the end of the tassels.

I'm not sure if this question was ever addressed or answered here but does anyone treat their RM bags with leather protecters like applegard rain and stain repellent, or conditioners?

Rebecca, what would you recommend for us? Should we protect them or should we just leave the leather alone....

Has anyone tried? And what were the results? TIA!

I love tassles...the length doesn't bother me.

Glad to hear they were ring-less! The only thing I might have done differently is cut them at an angle....give it more of an edge.

Gung...you've got quite the collection!!!! Nice to see someone who is totally passionate about their bags!!!!
