Blah. Summer quarter started today so I won't be surfing TPF 24/7 anymore, probably 20/7

On another HAPPY note. Daddy got lucky at the "tables" over the 4th of July weekend and bought my sister and I both lapPies! My sister got more lucky than I did, she got herself a MACBOOK with a free iPod Touch & a printer for $995! I'm not jealous though because 1, she'll share with me and 2, the first laptop my parents got me as a Christmas gift, well you gals know :P I sold it to fund a RM :X so it all evens out.. . anyways!

I got myself this beautiful HP Mini perfect for taking to school and the tea houses/coffee shops and basically anywhere!~ It's only 3lbs I think? IT'S GOING TO FIT IN ALL MY RMs (except the MACs of course) but my MAB, MAM, Nikki & etc!

& Bay, I hope everything is okay over there! Although we're not physically there for you, your Minkettes are virtually sending hugs and love your way

& during your break, we're going to miss you and that bright pink font of yours!!!

DEB: I know what you mean, BF got laid off in March, and he still hasn't found a job

Hes a SQL developer, and there are thousands of jobs posted, and he's applied all over the country, but still nothing. Even worse is a lot of companies want local candidates only now, so even relocation is becoming difficult. BF is so stressed right now, he supports his whole family (father died, oldest brother) of 5 people, and he's been so depressed. Seeing him depressed makes me even more depressed.

The work thing is tough. When I was told my contract wasn't being renewed because there wasn't enough money to keep all the staff, I couldn't believe my ears. It took me four years to find this job and being out here in BFE I couldn't imagine I was going to find another one like it. I was able to find a part-time position in the same field for next year, subbing the other two days, and possibly working a third job nights, weekends and holidays if I can't get enough subbing in. We could make it with just the PT income but I needs ma crack moneys

For different reasons my hubby has been taken away for 45 days +. Even though we are allowed to speak on the phone and I can meet him 1-2 a week, it's just really hard for me.

I came to the US to be with him, we have been together for every single day for a long time, and now he's gone.

I cried myself to sleep last night and it's just been horrible. I miss him terribly and I am just so depressed.

I have no friends here, so I am all by myself pretty much.

I am sorry, I don't mean to fish for sympathy, I just wanted to explain my situation..

Oh no bay! Why was hubby taken away? Is he serving? or work? That is really horrible, I can't even be without my BF for more than a week (and we don't even live together!) so i can imagine how depressed you are over this. Where do you live? Maybe there are some close by Minkettes in the area you can make friends with
