YES! Good idea, that is my plan. But it says it's recommended that when going from white to black you should put some green down first. I don't think it will show through once I put the black over it but it will help it be less blotchy is what I'm imagining. Then I was thinking to put the black over it making it basically black but using a shiny dark green as my top coat for the exact reason you just said. Does that sound right? Should I skip the green underneath?

Oh and google is my friend! The one of very few ingredients in the deglazer is acetic acid so I think I have that covered!

Ok, so as I'm typing this I hear DF shouting all types of expletives downstairs. I'm like "Honey what's wrong???" He's like "This sh!t is so good!!! Fu@!, now I gotta wait til Monday I gotta call my momma!!!!"

He just finished today's recording of The Young and the Restless.

WORD! Or you can do the artsy marbled effect! Hmm... how about 1 coat of green under the black, and then 1 or 2 coats of black, and then 1 more coat of green?? That way it would become evenly distressed looking as it wears!

WORD, Anna!

LMAO, Knas!

And PERFECT, desi! That sounds good yes! The top coat is going to be the same tarrago self shine dye I used originally but darkkk green so it will definitely show the black underneath with use, I think that will be really cool. I love the idea of having a black bag but I still want some color so having it just be a really dark green with black distressing show through sounds great. I think it will go better with the lining than just a harsh black. Yay!

Me too babe! I'm nervous though, but if it doesn't work out with the green then I'll still have a great black bag, which I do not currently have one of and my mini mini will be small so it will still work out!

YAY! This does sound perfect

Think of it as the resort black nikki that RM made in 07! It has a yellow undercoat, so when the black starts to "wear", it shows the yellow underneath. Very vintage, and chic. Love IT! I so want to find a white nikki to dye now or better yet, an eggshell nikki!

LMAO @ Knas' DF

The more you talk about it, the more I want to see the finished result, sunlit! "Green crackle" sounds rockin'.

Husband got jealous of my bitchin' bike basket, so we're off to the bike shop to get him one, too.
