The doll thing is awesome. When I was 8 I read this book called Bella about a girl who finds a doll that lures people to their deaths by ending up in precarious places like a window sill or a balcony and then people go out there to get the doll and OOPS they fall and die. Turns out the doll is cursed (big surprise). The maker had two twin daughters and one was jealous of the other so one used the other's hair and stuff to put inside it and basically turned it into a poppet/hoodoo doll.

WELL my aunt was a huge collector of antique porcelain dolls and was trying to get me started on the hobby so for every holiday she would buy me dolls and of course I had to have them in my room. Every night I laid there with my sheet pulled up over my head knowing they were going to come and get me if I let even one piece of me stick out from under the sheet! Finally we moved and I just never unpacked the dolls :)

Well, the only part of Dark Crystal that scared me were the stupid little pointy faced Gelflings (Elflings? I don't remember what they were called), who were supposed to be the HEROES of the story. I had no problem with the monsters. Maybe it was their faces combined with that puppet-walk. I like watching it now, but those damn Gelfling things still kinda creep me out.

I had a friend in high school whose mom had a "doll room" in their house. You have to go through it to get to the bathroom and it was the creepiest. thing. ever. She had HUNDREDS of china dolls lined up all around the room and creepy dollhouses, too. And they all faced the center of the room, so if you stood in the middle they all STARED at you. Even my friend was creeped out by it and he never went into that room.

Whenever we went over to his house NO ONE would use the bathroom. We'd all just hold it.

MSG, have you tried ginger tablets or ginger hard candies? Some markets or vitamin stores sell them. They might help!

I had a Smurf bank with eyes that followed you around the room. Talk about creepy. I complained about it enough my Dad dumped the money out, took the thing down to the basement and sawed its head off on his tablesaw LMFAO

MSG also if you don't dig ginger you can let the candies soak in a cup of tea and they don't taste as strong. They help me a lot, I get nauseous with migraines.

OMG, I was just going to post about this! Did wee have the same friend? Except, even creepier, her mom's doll room was in her BEDROOM! Big life sized dolls, miniature dolls, all with those horrible dead, staring doll eyes. I have no idea how she and her husband slept there. Come to think of it, he was away on business an awful lot.

mock, that's funny the Gelflings scared you. To me they just looked like humans with long faces and features, lol.

When I was younger, I begged my Dad to sign-up for a Warehouse membership just so I can watch this movie...

I LOVE to scare the cr@p out of myself! Did anyone else watch this movie? It's soooo creepy! The dolls would walk around at night because they were really monsters inside the doll bodies and I think they even had little knives.

You guys are soooo funny! I'm glad it amused everyone. I'd like to see that movie again, now that I think about it. My 4yr old son will have nightmares for years so I guess I'll have to watch it when he's a lot older. My hubby hates horror flicks too. Maybe I'll rent it for him as a joke. LOL!
