I would say it depends most on how you think you will use the internet. If you intend to do a lot of typing, I would look more at blackberry or windows mobile. I have an iphone, and although I love it, I think other phones would be easier for typing... HTH
Tara & S~ that does help! thank you :)
yeah, def. will be typing.....decisions!

(And no, I haven't actually seen a tornado touch down yet, just the funnel clouds and rotation.)
omg, that's scary!! stay safe

my Acer is the 13". i'm not sure on the memory specifics but it's Supa Fast!

I am using the iPhone myself. While I find it great for Internet surfing, I find it lacking in certain basic phone functions, like text forwarding, etc. I'm not sure whether the new version of iPhone has this though.

Regarding the cell phone coverage that you get, as somebody mentioned earlier, it all depends on the area you are in. It's all radio frequency transmitted from antennas (usually flat and rectangular in shape) that you see sticking out of rooftops, towers, etc. Ever wonder why you get bad reception in some buildings, and good reception even though you are in the middle of a huge building? If it's the former, that's because the radio frequency can't penetrate the building and if it's the latter, it could mean that there are antennas radiating radio frequency in that building.

Sorry, if I got too technical. This happens to be my bread and butter that pays for my bags!
you didn't kill it!

this^^ is helpful. i guess i need it to be good at everything, easy to type on, easy to web browse and have basic phone functions.
well, i do have plenty of time to figure it out. and i'll def. have to go and play w/ all of them.

I say iPhone all the way. But I am a major Apple supporter, lol.

So yesterday I was super geeked because my The Firm Wave system finally came in. (It was backordered from QVC for about a month). But by the time I did some laundry, cleaned up some and cooked dinner.... I didn't even manage to get it out of the box!

Does anyone have it? I'm very excited to try it tonight. I already have a treadmill, Tony Little Gazelle, Fluidity (the ballet bar), Kettlenetics, The Firm Step program, Turbo Jam and the 10-Minute Trainer. Lol, I'm kind of a workout gadget junkie too....I add new stuff every so often so I don't get bored. You would think with all the working out I do I would have a better body, but I eat like a pig, lmao!

I love all this electronic talk.. lol

I my iPhone! (I have the 3G) It's the reason why I even considered selling my laptop. The iPhone makes TPF close to me at all times! 3G is already quite fast, I'm still tempted to get the 3G S though.. .

Did I mention I have about 8 pages of apps? I think the iPhone is the best thing ever invented! LOL

I am a total Apple fangirl. BUT....I just hated typing on the iPhone. It never sensed my cold, bony fingers right and it just took. so. long. to type out a message because I kept hitting the wrong letters. Plus I didn't want to switch my service, so I went with Blackberry and have been very happy so far (though I would consider getting an iPod Touch so I could pretty much have an iPhone without the Phone part).

^ No problem Tracy!~

Here are some more points I have on my experience with my iPhone!

- It has a more clean and nice feel to the phone compared to the Blackberry or G1, etc.
- It may be harder to type but you eventually get use to it!

& about AT&T, I always get great reception (I think this really depends on your area!) but AT&T is really expensive .. . I pay for my family's bill of 4 phones (I'm the only one with an iPhone) but every month the bill comes out to about $200!

I used to have verizon and now I have at&t and they are exactly the same. At leats MY bills are the same as they were with Verizon. It all depends on what plan you have or want though, kwim?

I just think the iphone is cool and it comes in handy for all kinds of reasons. Wouldn't want any other phone :)

I know viet! He's considering switching the rest of my family to AT&T 'cause he sees me playing with my iphone all the time and wants one. He's under contract with Sprint but he's really at the point where he just wants to leave them hanging, he's been a loyal customer for something like ten years and gets so angry everytime the bill comes in wrong now that I usually have to call them up and fix it 'cause he will be too mad to speak and doesn't want to take it out on some random rep. They treat us so bad though every time we call, they act like we're lying and don't understand and we get switched from person to person and I'm like just LOOK at the past few bills this keeps happening, it's in your records. They never apologize or offer anything to remedy the situtation. Phone compaines just bite in general IMO.

And yes, I'm an iPhone App junky. I love it so much, I find the typing easier than a normal keypad BUT if I didn't I'd still need the iPod Touch for my app fix... definitely.

Remember how I tried out for a roll of Dorothy? My job was just to be at the 70th anniversary screening of "The Wizard of OZ" museum exhibition @ my school, well it was this Tuesday and apparently I didn't make the cut I was cheaking my email every morning when I woke up hoping I got the part!

I just wish they would atleast apologize and TELL YOU you didn't make it. I hate finding things out on my own, lol.

Another vote for the iPhone! I got mine back in February and I love it! It is a little hard to type at first, but you'll get used to it. The internet is easy to use, especially if you have a mac since it's almost exactly the same. Personally finger prints don't bother me, but like someone said the new one will have that protective coating. It's also useful for other things besides the internet and phone capabilities, which I love! But, I would try a phone out before I buy it. HTH.
