I think it was yesterday's TSV on QVC, same deal but for a Dell. I have a Dell now and I love it but Acer really paved the way for the netbooks. I would love a pink one! I will surf on over to HSN and check it out...thanks!

Tracy, the new iPhone will have a fingerprint resistant coating on the screen.
![]() I would say it depends most on how you think you will use the internet. If you intend to do a lot of typing, I would look more at blackberry or windows mobile. I have an iphone, and although I love it, I think other phones would be easier for typing... HTH |

I love my acer netbook..I have the slightly bigger one at 10.1, but I got it since they updated some things from the 8.1. I also upgraded the memory from 1 to 2gb.
On another note, I saw funnel clouds and the green sky with the ozone smell today. Watched a roof blow off the gas station too! The FC didn't touch down in my area but I sure could see the rotation above and wind/rain/debris on the road. It's that time of year again. (And no, I haven't actually seen a tornado touch down yet, just the funnel clouds and rotation.)

I find the iPhone is better for web browsing, but the BB is better for email/text.

We are in for some weather tonight, I keep seeing the warnings on the TV and the radar looks scary but who knows, sometimes it blows over and othertimes the sirens are screaming all night. Fun. I miss hurricanes.

Yes, some people find it harder to type on the iphone. It's definitely something you should maybe try out first. I, personally, find it easier than my sisters blackberry, the keys are so tiny and close together that I get tripped up more often for some reason.
Be safe with the weather ladies! |

Does anyone have an Instinct? I still can't get the knack of scrolling with control. It pretty much sucks. Today I was using the Navigation app. and could not get my preferred location because I couldn't stop the movement of the scroll function. I kept choosing, inadvertantly, the wrong location, and when I pushed the return key it kept taking me back to the top of the page. I finally stopped trying after about 10 tries. Otherwise I love my Instinct. My internet connection is quick; messaging is easy; my email transfer is always up to date; and I love my Pandora radio connection.

I love my iPhone. It's gonna cost me a purse to upgrade to the iPhone 3GS. Mehs...I hope Sprint gets the iPhone eventually. They seem to have the best plans anyways. I'm not too crazy about AT&T or Verizon customer service.

Sprint is not any better. They keep sending my dad $2000 bills for text messages even though he has unlimited. They say okay it's fixed and then it happens the following month AGAIN and we have to go through at least an hour long phone conversation convincing them they are wrong and we are supposed to have unlimited. It's horrible. It's been happening since November and still they can't get their act together...

Has anybody used the Blackberry Storm and the iPhone? My sister was soclose to getting the Storm but then the new iPhone came out. And now she is reconsidering her decision.
I am using the iPhone myself. While I find it great for Internet surfing, I find it lacking in certain basic phone functions, like text forwarding, etc. I'm not sure whether the new version of iPhone has this though. Regarding the cell phone coverage that you get, as somebody mentioned earlier, it all depends on the area you are in. It's all radio frequency transmitted from antennas (usually flat and rectangular in shape) that you see sticking out of rooftops, towers, etc. Ever wonder why you get bad reception in some buildings, and good reception even though you are in the middle of a huge building? If it's the former, that's because the radio frequency can't penetrate the building and if it's the latter, it could mean that there are antennas radiating radio frequency in that building. Sorry, if I got too technical. This happens to be my bread and butter that pays for my bags! |
