UGH you are so lucky! The line to get in the place was wrapped around two corners and the people in the parking lot we're extra crazy today I swear.

That is so weird. I was even contemplating going into Apple today because it looked empty!! I didn't want to spend any more money though so I left.

^^ Yes, we wanted to get my sister an iphone, and not even the new one, she just wants the 3G. We're contemplating going back before they close but we'll see. She has a feeling it will be packed all weekend. We tried calling beforehand but no one answered, that should have been a clue but I completely forgot today was the day! And honestly even if I had remembered I wouldn't have expected anything like that.

My sister got the 3G 2 weeks ago and they are upgrading it for her for free. I would get this new one. I'm not up on my iphones, but this one should b faster and have a better battery life.

Yeah, I don't think I'll be upgrading unless they offer a deal. It does seem to be faster but I guess nothing that is worth the extra $100 for her. I like the new features it has though. That's awesome that they upgraded her for free!

Sunlitmoon, maybe you would have better luck at a regular AT&T store? Especially if you just want the 3G.

Congrats Anna! I wanted to buy the Black Cat MAB, but I have so many black bags its not even funny. Let's see I have: a Black Basketweave MAB; a Noir Mini Nikki; a Black MAC from this season; a Black with Blue Suede Matinee; and Night with Crackle Gold Lexie; and then my non RMs: a Botkier Sasha; and a Botkier Black Bryant. I wanted to buy something from this s.s., but just bought and received my new Wine Mini Devote in two days from Aster Alice. Woohoo! Can you believe how fast it got here, and I didn't even upgrade the shipping. Thought about doing it too. I think I'm going to be good for awhile. Plus my dh will have a fit if I buy another bag.

We called every single AT&T within a 30 minute drive of us and they are all sold out of the 3G. We went to one of them and they had a line out the door as well. We're calling apple in a little bit to see how the line is, we might just go and wait if it dies down 'cause she really wants one and her phone right now is broken.

Aw, I'm sorry sunlit, I hope you guys are able to get one.

When my phone was being activated there was a lady to the right of me who had come in to buy one (not a pre-order). The account was actually her husband/boyfriend/etc (I couldn't tell) and she was not an authorized user on the account. So they could not sell her the iPhone for the upgrade price. They told her she needed to have him call in and add her (a 5-minute phone call) and then she could get it for $199. But he was upstairs sleeping and the phone was downstairs. She called him like 4 times but couldn't get a hold of him. They told her since she wasn't a pre-order they couldn't hold the phone for her once she left. And it sold out a few minutes after she was gone. I didn't feel super bad for her since she was talking on a 3G (it looked pretty new) but I did feel kinda bad for her cause she looked really disappointed.

She was also carrying an "inspired" LV Mahina which I could not stop staring at. I didn't mean to but I was just fascinated. Mostly I wondered if she knew what the bag was designed after or if she just saw it and said "that's a cute bag".

Aww yeah, thank you! I'm happy with my 3G right now so I'm in no rush to upgrade. I hope we can get hers today though, she's on hold with them right now but it looks like we might go wait it out. She was just in there yesterday and it was just her and one other person so she's feeling really bad that she hadn't just made her mind up then, lol.

I have a 3G iPhone and I've had it for less than a year, and I believe the warranty is still on it too, how much would it be for me to upgrade from the 3G to the 3GS? Anybody know?

Xlana I've had one less than an year and an early upgrade for the 32 GB one will be 499 and the 16 GB will be 399 with a two year contract. I'm debating if I really want a new one. Well I really want one but do I really need one?
