OMG Anna! That is insane, she didn't even ask if you were okay and then blamed you? What on earth did she tell the police? I'm glad you had a witness even though the damage to your car says it all. What a lunatic! So happy you're okay and hope tofu bob gets fixed asap!

Oh ANna - just read about the accident - I can just imagine how scary this was for you. I might need to have a little talk () with MS. Stupid Driver for you. I glad that you're physically OK though. I hope the knee isn't sore today. Good luck with
the repairs. They certainly owe you a rental car!! You have places to go and things to do. I would press the issue. Give Tofu Bob a hug for me.

Where is BH and her new baby?! I want to see!!!!

On another note - stupid US Open is ruining my life!!!! Not sure if there are any golfers around here....I live right by Bethpage Black, where the Open is being held (again - it was here last in 2002). Its sooooo annoying! Exciting, but irritating at the same time. I love golf, but the driving situation is getting a bit out of hand. THere are SO many people. My neighbor is selling his driveway. You cannot park on any village streets without a proper pass. Its also the worst weather for the Open. Oh well...just have to make it through the weekend.

That was what upset me the most. Was that she didn't even ask me if I was okay. ACTUALLY, we didn't even speak! My friend in the passenger's seat helped me take down all the info while I was bawling on the phone while making phone calls. She was definitely REALLY RUDE and didn't want to admit fault.

She told the police (& me when I confronted her about her hitting me) that she said the street was a ONE WAY STREET! I asked her "did you just learn to drive yesterday?" and the police told her "you are not making sense, stop lying and be honest".

LOL, so it's pretty much clear who's fault it is.

Thanks MAG! It was very scary! It was so hard and out of no where and Tofu Bob was strong. Oh man, Ms. Stupid Driver deserves than just a little talk! Ugh!

The knee is okay, not sore but there's a huge brown spot, LOL! And my THIGH actually is sore and bruised as well. But nothing major so thank goodness for that.

I definitely need a rental car, stat!
I have work and I am on break!!! Sigh!!

& bless my bestfriend for being such a sweetheart, I have to attend this Celebrity Catwalk Pet Chairty event tonight [http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...475.jpg]hosted by ANTM's Cari Dee and Kim Kardashian's mom Kris Jenner so I HAD TO MAKE IT, so the girlfriend is taking me. But yea, I really need a rental car!

^^No way! We aren't going to be the bad neighbors! Besides, our cars take up the whole driveway and neither of us want to park in the street. I even had extra parking hanger thingees which I could have sold for a good amount of money, but couldn't be bothered. Hello, my name is LAZY!

Ugh, I hate when people park all up in your shizz. My parents live on a street with a park and it used to get FILLED with cars whenever there was a little league game or soccer game. They have a side driveway addition that extends to the side of the normal driveway in front of the garages....some people had the nerve to park ON the side driveway!!! Or blocking it. It got so bad that the whole neighborhood complained and they finally had to make it permit-only parking (which sucks for visitors like me who can't just park in the street legitimately w/o getting ticketed if I forget the little permit card).

I am the ultimate parking police psycho! I am very territorial when it comes to the front on my house!! I have always been like that too. Very strange. I get so pissed when people don't follow the rules of parking! Mock - your situation at your parents would have driven me up a wall!! I'm glad though because my future MIL is the same way, so I don't feel like such a freak. She actually had her son (my fiance) tow a car that was blocking her driveway once. Not with a tow truck either! He had a massive pickup truck (boys ) and he tied the guys car to his truck and moved it!!! LOL!! Can't be good for that guys Corolla, but he shouldn't have blocked a driveway. What an a-hole!!

In 2002 when the Open was here people were selling their LAWNS! They passed a law this year that if you were caught with cars on your lawn you are fined like $300.

^Hahahahaha....well, my dad got GREAT joy in calling the tow company to haul off the trespassers. At least the Corolla driver didn't have to pay to get his car back. The soccer moms who came back to find their cars gone had the NERVE to complain about it to my parents and called the cops, but were told TOO BAD, SO SAD shouldn't have parked ON someone else's property.

Some of my friends who live down in San Diego sold their driveways/parking spots when the Superbowl was there a couple of years ago. I think I would've gotten some kind of perverse fun out of sitting in a lounger out in the middle of my driveway, then waiting for people to come by and ask to buy my space and going "Nope, sorry, I'm using it at the moment." But them I'm wretched like that.

So as long as you charged MORE than $300 for parking you were ahead?

Mock you are my kind of people!

I would have gotten much sick joy out of busting those soccer moms. I too am wretched. I am also evil and twisted (when it comes to parking!). I actually left my driveway open and parked in the street two mornings ago so that Mr. Driveway Seller couldn't park any of his cars in front of my house!

Of course that was the first thing I thought of!

I just can't bring myself to do it though. Not even for an RM!

Anna, I'm so glad you're not seriously hurt. Your poor car. It looks like she hit you really hard. And I happen to know that area where you got hit and I know that there is no "One Way Street" in that area at all. What B@%#&!! I feel for you because I know we have alot of stupid drivers in our area.

Good evening ladies! What a day with my new addition to the family . . . Alex!

Ummmm, I read that puppies are supposed to have new home anxiety the first day...I think Alex did not get that memo...what do you think?

My personal favorite. . .

So he enjoyed his three hour car ride home by sleeping on his back in his crate almost the whole entire ride. . . he took a car ride to pick up pizza. . . got muddy outside chasing the garden hose. . .and took a bath. . . PLUS met Snowy face-to-face tonight as well.
