I'm not sure about Australia, but most countries have to pay customs on EVERYTHING. You pay customs on items you RECEIVE from other countries, not on items you send. I'm in US, but if i get something from someone overseas, it has to go thru customs as well...

Yes the person receiving pays customs, but i'm sure that there is some way that a company can opt in to cover the customs charges like RM does.

Once again, this is what i heard from other ladies on the forum that order internationally. So DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER

it "bumps" the thread back to the top of the most recently posted in threads list, so that more people will read it.

Everytime i send international, the buyer ALWAYS ask me to declare a value of $50 to save them money... but its risky doing it that way, because if a bag gets lost, then i'm screwed out of an expensive bag, and the money!
desi~ we don't really need to pay customs in australia (well i have never anyways~ and it's me getting nervous when sellers offer they will lower the value of the item) i guess it all depends on the location~

tayles~ i didn't have to pay tax or customs for my chloe which cost me upwards of $1000~

on another note~ i'm just a bit annoyed that they assume customs for all countries~ i reckon they should have a shipping calculator or something so shipping costs can be calculated accurately depending on your location~ just my 2cents~

well at least for Singapore, recipients have to pay GST of 7% (Goods & Service Tax) for any parcels which have declared value of SGD400 or more and sender do not need to pay any customs or sorts...

Hmm, I have never had to pay customs for items coming to me from overseas. I wonder what the protocol is from state to state, anyone know?

Good evening gals,

Here are some answers to the following questions:

"I have another question, will website exclusives be in the sample sale... or are they strictly website exclusives?"
There are no plans to include website exclusives in the sample sale at this time.

"Any word on what sites will carry the red basket weave??"
You'll just have to check and see.

"Do you know if our pre-ordered FLL MAM Black Basketweaves have the new hardware or old hardware?"
They will have the new hardware.

"Will there still be a NYC sample sale?"
Yes. Dates are still being worked out.

"Will you take email orders from international customers for the sample sale in LA?"
Yes we will.

"I have a question regarding the in store sample sale (I live near NYC). Will there be actual samples or one of a kind bags at the sale? Will there be a large selection of handbags at the in store sale, or will it be better to order a bag by phone first?"
You can only order by phone if you live too far away to come to the sale.

"If i buy 2 or 3 bags from RM.com or the Sample sales, are the international shipping still $95?"
We are working this out.

"Just wondering if you can reassess the costs of shipping internationally."
We are working on this as well.

"$95US is quite high IMO particularly when i have had other high end bags shipped to me for $50US. I have just ordered my first RM bag and paid the $95 for shipping but the thought of paying this amount every time is making me think twice about ordering bags from the RM website."
We are trying to work this out.

The one below is the whitewash/rosegold and the 2nd color ive seen is the sahara.. please more info

Hi RM Maven! I have a question. I noticed in the preview interview that Megs posted I did not see any Plan B's. Will this bag not be continued or were there just no preview pics? TIA!
