I would like for UPS to change the way they are delivering our $600 bags. About 50% of the time that I receive Rebecca Minkoff bags from UPS, they LEAVE IT AT MY APARTMENT without a signature. Anyone from the street can take my package while I am at work, which leads me to my current debacle.
I have kept mum about this because it has been quite irritating, upsetting and causing a lot of stress for the past few days. But a wonderful TPFer encouraged me to say something on this board.I also want to state that
this is not the RM company's fault, but a terrible mistake on the part of their UPS carriers.
I was sent a lovely Light Brown Mini Nikki on Monday of last week by RM. It had candy striped lining and was basically an extremely rare, currently nonexistent bag. On Tuesday, UPS left a package slip for the bag, saying that they had attempted to deliver the bag and I was not there to sign.
Wednesday,I checked the UPS website and saw that the package had been delivered at 4:42, with someone having signed my signature. Weird. So when I got home at 11:00 (it was a late night at work), there was no package. I knocked on my neighbors' doors, and they claimed to not have it. My upstairs neighbor claimed to have seen it in our main vestibule (which is unlocked and accessible to people on the street) at around 7, which means it was stolen between 7 and 11 pm. Also, the UPS driver really never received a signature, but just wrote that he did and left the package at my door.
The next day, I called Cory and informed her of the issues. And she was so very helpful and informed me of how I should file a police report.
I filed a police report, but what are my next steps after that? Will I be reimbursed, soon preferably????
Also, I would really like for this to *never* happen again, to myself or any other Minkettes. I have heard that UPS leaves other Minkettes' purses without a signature too. This is just unacceptable. Is there a way that RM can enforce the signature on delivery rule for all of these bags? And also ask for ID?
Thank you
