I don't know, I think a small laptop would fit. I managed to get my huge hp in there and it is one of their largest models. Here are some pics of it for reference.

I'm sad that this is the first pic I am going to post of my steady bag... but I need HELP!

I bought this bag as my birthday present to myself- it cost far more than I have ever spent on a bag. Because of that I've had it almost a month and have been afraid to use it more than 10 times. I like the cross body strap and very very rarely use the regular handles. So I was shocked today to see the stitching unraveling on the handle! On each of the other handles there are 3 backstitches holding them together, on this one there is one stitch and a long piece of extra thread.

So I called lunaboston and of course they offered to send it back for repair. But it may take 4-6 weeks. And it sounded like I would need to pay for shipping in. She said they have never had anyone call about a problem with a steady and she was really surprised. I really don't want to wait that long, and I am so disappointed that my bag is unraveling. Has this happened to anyone's steady? Is it an easy enough fix that I should look up a good leather worker? Or should I just send it in and suck up the wait time?

Please help

RM has been having to deal with tons of issues on the handles (on all of their bags). I would email Cory or Catalina at RM as I know they are repairing bags. Perhaps it would be cheaper or even faster to go through them?

I'm so sorry your new bag has this problem. I hope you can get it repaired easily and go on to enjoy it for a long time.

I'm so sorry to hear about your handles! Mine have problems, too (pics here: Problems with my new steady)

I PM'd RM Maven about it and she said to send it in and they would repair it but didn't say how long it would take. I think you will have to pay to ship it to them, though. I don't really like that because the issue is obviously a design flaw, but that how it works with most things. I'm just happy that they are going to fix it!

I'm still wondering if the repaired handles hold up any better than the originals, though.

Regarding the laptop I stand corrected. I guess it would fit, I suppose it's just that I don't like the way the bag sits when the laptop is in it. I'd lean toward the duo too. But that's obviously JMO.

Sorry to see your guys' handles unraveling. I'm a bit skired for mine now b/c I lava my steadies.
Maybe going through LB would be faster than going through RM, unless of course LB then plans to go through RM. If that's the case then cut out the middle man.

LB did say they would send it back to RM. sigh. I just want to use my new bag now... not in 4 weeks. :(

^this is true. I guess I was just hoping that I could get it fixed locally. But LB didn't offer to reimburse me or anything so I guess I should just send it in.

Maybe try the squeaky wheel technique too. Maybe they'll get so annoyed with you that they'll just send you a new one. But then start buying from them with a different account. You don't want to be "that chick." haha.

The repair will probably take about a month. I had a Plan B that had a chipped button. It took a month to get it back plus another three weeks to get a new dustbag (they did not return my original one with the bag). And I did have to email/call several times. Part of me thinks that maybe my bag was ready before that, because it shipped the next day after someone finally responded to me. But you never know. I personally would go through LB because they have great CS. So you can depend on them to do all the "bugging" to check on your bag instead of you having to track someone down. Good luck!

Not steady related, but I had my blue/grey matinee repaired through FLL who sent it to RM. It took about a month to get it back, but I didn't send it back with my dustbag so I guess I saved myself some hassle on that end. It's really unfortunate that both you girls are having problems with your steady's. But just think, once you get them back, it will be as good as new!

I have not seen one in a store priced cheaper than that but you may be able to find one on eBay for less w/ the live discount.

Me niether, but if you go with eBay I'd make sure to get a proof of purchase with the bag so that RM will repair it if you have any problems.

On the bay. They actually had one the other day that came out to around $250 after the live cashback deal. I'd hold off if I were you.
