Desi, I agree with the others, you look beautiful and you inner light shines through! My brother was also in a very bad motorcycle accident on his Harley a couple of years ago so I can relate to what you went through. Luckily mine is ok now too but does still carry a slight limp and some achy joints from it all when it rains. And damn if he didn't go out and buy another one so we all live in fear. Ah well.

My brother is still a dummy, and yes he felt the need to continue riding after our friend died in 2006 in a bike accident. And then after my brother went down, he was in the hospital for months, then got an infection from the rod in his leg during physical therapy and had to go thru 4 back to back surgeries in december. He had 104 degree fevers for three weeks straight, and we were admitting him into the hospital every few days being so damn worried. Luckily now he still has a limp from his broken pelvis, but he works out, and is getting stronger. Dummy is glad to be alive, and i heard from one of his friends, they went out on the tracks not too long ago. I completely flipped out on him, and told him if i found out he is riding again, i'd BREAK his legs myself. Having a 6 broken ribs, a shattered pelvis, broken femur, broken ankle, and a damn hole in his lung wasn't apparently enough for him....

This was a 2 wedding weekend and I was soooo proud of myself for surreptitiously turning a group photo into a showcase for my Tangy MAM that I had to post it!
Plus I love this thread, COME ON LADIES AND MAKE LIKE DESI! LETS SEE THOSE ACTION SHOTS!!!

Ladies -- I just got through reading all the comments in this thread and I must say that EVERYONE looks GORGEOUS in their action shots!!! And Desi I am so sorry to hear about everything your brother went through with his accident, but am happy to hear that he is okay. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to talk some sense into a loved one -- particularly when they are stubborn!!!!
I got my eggplant matinee in the mail yesterday (just in time for my b-day) so I will try to post some action shots ASAP!!!! It slept in between me and my DH last night!!!! |

^ Yeah, he has been surprisingly understanding re my bag obsession lately. When he asked how much it cost, I showed him the price tag (so he could at least see the original price and the sale price that I bought it for so at least he'd think I got a deal), he looked shocked and slightly upset, but quickly regrouped and then...as if a purse loving alien had inhabited his body...he leaned over kissed me and told me that I deserve it!!!! Just when you think all hope is lost, they always go and suprise you!!!! My numerous requests for him to smell the bag also didn't seem to annoy him for once!!!!
