I just wanted to say THANK you to ALL of you ladies! Your really sweet comments totally brought a tear to my eye!

After my brothers near death motorcycle accident, i gained a lot of weight. He was in the hospital for two months, and the day he was brought into ER i remember begging the doctor to go in and see him, and when I did, he was just totally in shock- so much pain, and he was begging the doctors for some water, and they wouldn't give him any because they had to do immediate surgery and needed his lungs to not have any extra fluids. For 3 weeks I barely ate... for the 1st week i don't even recall drinking water, because it would just make me cry getting that mental picture from the ER room...

But anyways because of his accident, i quit my job, and was trying to my bills, his bills, everything. I was completely stressed out, and gained about 50 lbs from it.

Well now my brother is A OK

but i haven't been able to put the weight off. I feel so disgusted with myself, and now have no motivation to get it off

Here are some pics of me before- I was so much smaller, no acne issues, and was very happy with myself. I was NEVER small, but i had a really nice shape because i use to work out like CRAZY. And now i'm just BLAH

Anyways- I'm so sorry for the rant, but as you see in my pics below, and the one with me wearing my nikki- i look totally different, and it just gets to me

Hehe yea- i took the pic on my desk, and i love tapatio! Its the only damn hot sauce that isn't sweet, and hot, or sourt and hot, its just pure HOT! I was going to move it away, but i was like whatever. its my desk- i don't care!

i'm glad your brother is doing much better now.. It's tough to see a loved one go through such an ordeal..

Now with a random question. I'm indian too and can you pull off a RM bag w/desi clothes???

Desi, I'm glad to hear that your brother is completely recovered.

With weight, I believe it's more about being healthy than being a certain size and from what you've said, you know that too. I just started working out because I did not feel fit and LA Fitness has this awesome Body Works class. I tend to get bored so maybe you need a workout buddy or to find something interesting like a dance class.

Regardless, do not be down on yourself - you're still gorgeous.

Hell ya girl! I rock my RM's with EVERYTHING!

I don't wear desi clothes often... i just didn't know what to wear to my friends birthday, and bought that kurti actually at MACY's.

Glad things are better! Stress makes me gain my, hubby loses! Men metabolism poo! I went from an hour glass to a pear...whatever!
