I just got my pink mini mac and its not as nice as my old mini mac. Like the older one seems more sturdy and it holds its shape when nothing is in it...leather is thicker etc. the new one is flimsy feeling..like I can feel the items inside stretching out the leather too...

LOVE the colour..but is that typical? the newest ones are less nice, or did I get a dud? the pink has the polka dot lining and the older turquoise one has cheetah lining if that helps date it.

I saw that in stores, and I totally agree! The new leathers is really thin, and there are no pockets. Otherwise, I'd totally go for a pink mini mac. There is another pink mini mac from a couple months ago with this lizard embossed leather that has pockets and silver hw.

Yes, I recently bought and returned two viola mini mac's because of the crappy leather. I thought the first one was a fluke, so I had a replacement sent and it was much the same. Really thin and flimsy feeling leather that I knew would scratch up easily. Also, there wasn't an interior pocket or even a nameplate. Such a shame because the color was absolutely gorgeous.

yeah for some reason its so thin they collapse on themselves ... the turquoise one feels so much nicer and is structured...oh well I guess that's the way things are going...

I agree the new mini macs have thinner leather. I've only carried my neon yellow mini mac a few times and already the leather has split near the piping and two areas I see are about to split soon because the leather is so thin. I even treated with applegarde and it still cracks and splits wtf?!! I love the macs but this thin leather has got to go. I've been carrying my older macs more than the new ones -_-

I have the pink lizard embossed one and the leather feels "tougher" I guess due to the embossing it feels better than my neon ones which haven't lasted compared to the lizard ones and I used that one three times as much and the leather is still good and sturdier in comparison to the neon mini macs.

The recent croc embossed mini macs are also thicker/tougher. Not so much the snake, though.

Awesome, I'm waiting for the pink lizard mini mac to arrive; hope its as gorgeous as it is in pictures! I've sold 3 pink MACs that haven't worked out, so here's hoping this one sticks.

It's gorgeous in my opinion. I had the same problem going through so many pinks before I met the neon pink and its the perfect shade for me because I love neon but, the lizard one is the perfect "neutral" pink that's the perfect amount of pop that's not to dull or over the top like neon. I hope it works out for you too!!
