My goodness. MAM worn cross-body looks terrible, on me at least. It looks like a big bulge/ growth on my body and so very oddly placed. It sits on my stomach level. Not very flattering at all. I suppose if the MAM is super smooshy, it could look alright.

Incredible looking bags; I need one! MAM owners, why do you like this bag better than the MAB? I'm 5'4, find my mini Nikki a bit small and my full size Devote just right, so I was thinking of the MAB (there are none near me I can look at). But in all your mod shots, this bag looks like a great size...

Hi MissFLuffyCat. We are about the same height. I don't prefer the MAM to the MAB so much. In my opinion, they are different animals. The MAM is more structured and stays structured even after you break in the leather. If you're a hardcore satchel girl, this style will suit you. The MAB, however, will slouch over time and look like a satchel-y hobo/ hobo-y satchel. It's obviously bigger in size, but when it does break in, the size/ volume seem to diminish. My WBW MAB looks as small as my MAM b/c it's so darn smooshy. I think you'll always wonder if you don't try, so I suggest that you try both sizes, but give them enough time to adjust to you.

Thanks Crazy4Handbags - yes, the only solution is to have one of each! The Deep Turquoise Zip MAM is calling to me....

DT Zip looks amazing! I used to have a sample DT Beloved. The leather was unbelievably soft with slight pebbles and sheen, and the color was so saturated, perfect. You're going to love it. It has gunmetal HW, right?

Ooh such pretty rare bags! Magjes, that magenta/croc tempted me on eBay for a WHILE. It is so pretty!!! What I regret is not getting the emerald/croc MAM from LB...I was given a heads up on it but since it had tassels (I had never thought about detasselization back then) I passed. I have regretted that ever since.

I only have two, but I'll be happy to add some pics to this! Hard to believe we didn't have this thread before!

And speaking of MAB/MAM differences....I saw a lady at my local mall a week or so ago and she had an old school chocolate MAB. She was my height but much thinner and it was sooo slouchy and broken in it looked absolutely fabulous on her. I'd never considered an MAB before then but it looked better than a lot of brand spankin' new MAM's imho.

I wear it crossbody when I walk through the not-so-great parts of town! Makes it look more edgy....I think! I put the bag on the side/back. I kinda like it hehe

I love MAMs! I currently have two, Rose and Black Cat, although the latter is currently in NYC having its lining fixed... it came to me all bunched up and sewn together on one side. I am strongly considering a PH Zip MAM... thought, ladies?

Hehe, baghaggie...I am the same as you...mostly a nikki ho but I'm not one to discriminate too much.

Great idea for a thread, magjes! I love seeing everyone's pics!
