ohhh i was on the site today. i put my credit card info so i can check out fast. i read all the post on here and i hope that all of us get great bags with no possible defects.

she might be getting confused w/ another SS site...

Gilt lets you hold it in your cart for 5 min, it will show you the amount of time when you place the item into the cart. The time updates itself... If the item times out it will becomes available again...

You will see a "on hold" or something like that notice if it is out of stock but not purchased yet and it will give you the waitlist option. The waitlist I think is just a notification option, you can select for it to send you an email when the item becomes available again.

The sold out notice means the item is sold out and no one is holding anything in their carts.

^^ Ok, that's what I thought too. I really like the clock that counts down from five minutes, very cool! At the last Gilt sale I was able to score a MAB that someone released from their cart. Since Rebecca said that she gave more to Gilt this time I'm hoping it will be easier to get something. At the last sale I had barely even scrolled to the bottom of the page and everything was pretty much gone or on hold.

I also want to ask a question. Do they post bags before hand. Before the actual noon start time so we can see them?

No, they do not post the bags beforehand. Everything shows up on the Sales page PROMPTLY at noon. So sad I'll be missing it!!

Will the Gilt page automatically refresh at noon, or do you have to keep refreshing the page manually?
