Default Difference between Wine and Deep Red?

Can any of you ladies give me a visual on the color differences between the Wine and Deep Red? I'm loving the Wine and as much as I want to pre-order the MAB (though I'd rather have a Mini) my wallet just can't handle it right now. I'm afraid that I'm going to miss out on the Wine but thought maybe I should wait for a Deep Red MAM. Which do you girls like? I'm itching for a red bag!

Here is Deep Red (from the interview):

ETA to add this is Ruby (Luna Boston exclusive and also available at NY SS):

Haven't seen the deep red in person yet, but the wine is a very rich deep (for lack of a better description) wine color. The deep red to me looks like a true red color.

Hey Chinkee, I added in Ruby photos above. The Ruby was a spring 08 color and Deep Red is a fall 08 color. I imagine that in real life the deep red should be a slightly darker shade than the ruby.

When I saw the ruby MAM in person, the color is more like the lighter shade on the right side than darker.

No, Ruby is a little more pink, kinda like a grapefruit: here are some stolen from Gung, sorry dont have deep red to put next to it:

Yes, I also like the wine better, even though I don't have one. I think the color is more versatile.

That looks like wine on the left and ruby on the right. But ruby isn't that light or that pink in person. I think the flash must have lightened it. The right side of the Ruby MAM in the Luna Boston pic above is a better representation of the color, IMO.

I think the wine is such a gorgeous color. I would love to see the deep red too in real life on someone

I kind of remembered that some people got a Deep Red from the Gilt sale and I checked the thread and found these. Sorry for stealing these pictures shopdoc and deathcookie!

The first pic is shopdoc's MAB and she said it was Deep Red. The second pic from deathcookie was called Bomar's Deep Red. Not sure if this is the same deep red that will be coming in the Fall. The Bomar looks a lot like wine.

^^^Ah, a question we asked Rebecca and she said that the Bomar's Deep Red is the same dye as the wine. But Bomar's deep red is goat leather as opposed to most of the bags and the wine(cow). Rebecca also does a few lambskin bags.

To sum up there is wine, Bomar's Deep Red sold at Gilt was the same dye as wine, but different leather, Deep Red will be the same leather as wine but different dye.

I see. So I guess it won't look the same as those from Gilt? Too bad - those colors are beautiful!

i don't have much to add here that the ladies above haven't already said.

only that imho, nothing beats the WINE. It's just SO beautiful. (I might be a bit biased though )
