COME MEET MISS DUSTY!!! And the rest of the family!

YAY! She's here!

I'm so in love with her! I bought her off eBay from another wonderful tPFer (I don't know if she wants me to post her username here). Miss Dusty is pre-owned and pre-loved so she isn't in absolutely pristine condition, but I think that just adds to her character.

(Plus I got her at an awesome deal at less than half the retail price! I can't complain about that!)

Anyhoo, I present Miss Dusty MAM with silver hardware!

At first I was a little doubtful on the silver hardware. I'm one of the few Minkettes who actually prefers gold hardware (whether it be handbags or jewelry). But after I got her in the mail and pulled her out of the box, it was love at first sight.

In fact, IMO this color wouldn't look quite right with gold hardware. And my Wine MAM already has gold hardware, so now I have one MAM with each! YAY!

Oh, and also for those Minkettes who are wary about treating their RM bags, I've already cleaned and conditioned her with the Apple Leather products. In fact, I also sprayed two coats of Apple Garde Rain & Stain Repellent on Miss Dusty (and my Wine MAM who I still need to find a nickname for

) and it hasn't changed the color whatsoever!

It just made the leather sooooo soft and smooshy! (All of these photos are post-treatment.)

*Gasp* What's inside? Air packs!

I store my MAMs with air packs so they keep their shape. Works great!

And what happens when you take them out? Woooosh! Miss Dusty just sinks into a delicious pile of yummy leather!

I just want to add that the leather on Miss Dusty is lighter and thinner than the Wine leather. It really makes a difference in the smooshiness (is that a word?

) and weight.
