I searched this thread for anything about conditioning the color Coral and didn't come up with much... I let my sister borrow my coral MAMM for a rehearsal dinner and it came back with a deep scratch on the front pocket flap, in pretty much the most noticeable spot. I feel like it takes a lot to so significantly scratch a glazed bag, but I'm trying to let it go, move forward, and hopefully fix it. I'm wondering if anyone has treated coral with AG conditioner, and what you might suggest? It's such a beautiful color, and I'm worried the texture/color will be altered. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I would suggest using Apple leather conditioner. It's great for evening out the scratch so that it can blend into the rest of the bag. I have done that for several of my RM and Coach bags and it works great!

^ Definately try Apple Conditioner!

I recieved my LMB kit and used the cleaner, pro-treatment and handles on my Almond mamm. It's only been the second day but it feels so good to not have to worry about holding the handles without being timid about dirt/oil creating marks and spots on the leather. The almond I have is very pebbled, soft and has an orangey hue to it, and after doing all the above it did look a bit dry and dull coloured. After a light layer of Ultimate Moisturizer it looks great again!

I have the Coral MAM and have conditioned it with AG. I know what you mean about the glaze though. The scratches do seem to show with the glazed leather. I find it harder to hide with conditioner than say the chocolate leather. The conditioner does help smooth out the look of the scratch though. Good Luck!

I experienced the same thing with their "For Handles Only." All of the handles that I have applied it with became dry and dull, I had to use the shine enhancer on it to improve the look.

For the AG Rain/Stain protectant spray, what have you experienced as the average dry time? I sprayed a test spot on a new MAM and it's been about 2 hours and I can still see the spot. It's fainter than before but still noticeable.

I've used Wilson's on my bags which have worked great. They haven't bleed or changed color but it's always better to test spot on a bottom of the bag or area less noticeable since every leather bag is different.

^^ The longest dry time I had was on my Dusty and it was about an hour.

Hi All, I'm so bummed! I was carrying my new Peacock MAM yesterday and it started raining...I thought, ok no biggie, I'm sure the water marks will just dry, it didn't get soaked or anything. Well to my disappointment, they look like stains today!!! I have never had this problem with other bags. Would the Apply Guard Spray have prevented this or can RM leathers really just not tolerate any water?

Today, I tried cleaning it with Apple Guard cleaner and it looks better but you can still see the water stains faintly

^ Hmm, this actually sounds sort of familiar (water stains on Peacock not fading)... Have you tried searching either in this thread or for a separate thread in the general RM forum yet? I seem to recall a particular thread where someone had this problem with one of their RMs (it was a lambskin one, I think, which is why I suspect it may have been Peacock), and what worked for her was wetting the entire bag (with a damp cloth or something, not literally soaking it) and letting it all dry out more evenly. I wouldn't do anything yet until this remedy can be verified, though!

Apple Garde may have helped, but some RM leathers are definitely more susceptible to water marks than others, where water marks can dry up completely (e.g. Light Grey for the latter category).
