I'm waiting for him to dry so I can give him another coat of repellent. I can't believe how much softer he feels after conditioning! I did the routine with my Sunshine and black stud Nikki. They're all happy campers now! I'm planning on rotating my bags and using Mr. FIG now that he's conditioned and protected.
Can you let us know how the leather turn out after the Apple Garde dries up? I wanted to spray my FIG as well but was afraid to, cos of the potential colour run.

He looks great! I even sprayed him twice. I didn't notice any color run at all. I think I'm going to repeat the conditioning and spray in a couple of weeks. He feels super soft now! He lightened up to his original color also after he dried.... I kind of liked him a little darker, but oh well.

I got this by email today. This place does repair on designer bags. If you don't want to send your bag to LMB for minor fixes, maybe this place is worth a try?

Hi!
Can someone explain to me what Coated leather is?
I have an Aniline cream which I use to care my aniline leather jacket.

Label on bottle says
"Stain protection and care for aniline and coated leathers. Stops fats, discolorations and most stains"

So I just wonder if it can be used on RM bags Nikki and MAM?

I can phone my leathercare shop next week of course, but I thought maybe I can get an answer here while I'm waiting for monday

Thank you!

How are you supposed to care for the straw/leather bags? Is that talked about here?

Hi Ladies,

Has anyone treated the Fawn leather? I just found a MAB at Off 5th and it looks like it needs to be conditioned. I have apple guard - and am going to order FHO for the handles (don't want them to get dark). I'm planning to spray it with apple spray also after conditioning.

Any other suggestions? I want to retain this color and not have it darken.

I let my conditioner set in for a day before the spray but I think you can spray sooner than that...just make sure you test-spray first!

Ok, maybe I'm the first since this is a brand new RM leather, but just wanted to let everyone know I sprayed my Teal benji with apple guard and it dried up perfect, no change at all. So now I'm on to the big bad devote!

Thank you Icyblue, and Crazy4handbags for starting the inspiration!!

As many of you know handbag restoration can get pretty costly.... so here is a great alternative to making your bag good as new!

Ladies that have dyed your bags, please post BEFORE pics, pics of how the bag looks after each coat, and also pics of the end product.

As reference, please also post the brand of dye you used, and the color name and number as well!

ALSO- If you have sent your bags to Lovinmybags.com or any cobbler of your choice for restoration, please post before and after pics here!!

THANK YOU!!

And please lets keep these as a PICS ONLY for reference, and NO CHATTING please!
I just purchased a RM MAB in patent leather and there is a thin slice in the patent; can that be repaired.. I am so heart-broken.

wow! I've never treated my bags before but I just conditioned my pool mam and mint mini mini. holy cow!!! The leather became super soft and supple!!! I didn't even think that was possible for my stiff pool mam, and already super soft and smooshy mint!!! I can't believe what I've been missing out on! This stuff is fabulous!! We'll see how well it repells stains now!!!
