I'm wondering if anyone has tried conditioning and/or protecting their Studded Devote yet? All those studs - yikes!
I don't know where to begin! I'm assuming it's safe to use Apple Garde conditioner and repellant and just wipe the excess off the studs when I'm done?
Anyone have any experience with this?

I don't have a Studded Devote. But I definitely have protected my Studded Nikki and I did just that. Spray with Apple Guarde and then let it dry and wipe off the studs. It's been a bit so I will probably have it conditioned with LMB.

Somebody just posted a code for leatherstuff.com in the deals and steals forum. The code is purseforum for 20% off until June 15. I searched for a code over the weekend but didn't find any so I placed an order without it.

I just got my first RM...a white nikki! I sprayed it with apple guarde, but it didn't dry even though it's been a couple of hours. I had to wipe it off. Is this typical with some RM bags? I'm used to BBags where the spray soaks into the leather.

^ I'm not sure how Apple Guade works and if white bags tend to do that.. . sorry I can't help!

I use Wilson's Leather Spray and it dries so quickly. I sprayed my SAGE MAM with it and it dried in like 15 mins!~

I just got the Apple Products Rain & Stain Repellent and Leather Care conditioner at Burlington Coat Factory for $4.95. They had tons. Thanks for the tip. I just the leather conditioner on the leather strap of a bag, and it is not super soft and pretty.

ChiChi143- did you spray too much on? When I sprayed it on my nikki is soaked it right up.

I do treat all of my leather bags with Apple Garde leather conditioner and rain / stain protectant and they are great products.

I am thinking of getting LMB beauty kit which includes the handles protectant as well... now the question is should I apply the AG leather conditioner first, then the handles protectant and finally the AG stain protectant?!

Also for lighter colour RM bags, should I use LMB conditioner instead of AG conditioner since a number of you said that LMB conditioner is gentler? I have a Flatiron Grey MAM coming in and I wonder whether it falls under light coloured bags...

Thanks! I was reading so many threads on protecting and maintaining our beloved bags till I got dizzy!

Can anyone suggest any Canadian products for RM bags? We don't have Apple Guarde here, and I don't want to have to buy it online and have it shipped to Canada since Canada customs is so strict right now. Any help would be appreciated! TIA!

I did.

I treated it with Apple leather conditioner. And the MAM loves it - it looks more supple now. However do note that some colour do come off when you apply and buff it. I didn't dare to spray the Rain and Stain Repellant though since the instructions state that it should not be used on bags where the colour runs.

I'm also thinking about buying FHO too for it!! I didn't want the handles to turn darker as the other parts turn lighter due to distressing! Need to buy it first though. However I did read on leatherstuff.com that the Apple rain and stain repellant also repels body oils and perspiration - sounds like FHO!

I just got done conditioning my FIG MAB! He doesn't look so dry anymore, but the corners still look lighter than the rest of the bag. He's a little darker, so the corners don't look as white anymore but I'm sure it's because he's not dry yet after conditioning. I sprayed him with Apple Garde and he got even darker, but I like it. I'm waiting for him to dry so I can give him another coat of repellent. I can't believe how much softer he feels after conditioning! I did the routine with my Sunshine and black stud Nikki. They're all happy campers now!

I'm planning on rotating my bags and using Mr. FIG now that he's conditioned and protected.
