I have a tangy MAM, too and I don't *think* mine's like that. She has been sleeping since the Summer---lol. I'll have to break her out!
So, I guess the zipper is brass then? Maybe Brasso very carefully?? With a small brush? Or foam brush?

I have a question, other than apple garde or loving my bags, are there any other brands of cleanser/conditioner that I can use to protect my bags? Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get my hands on those 2 products since I am in Canada. TIA

Thanks Tracy!! I was looking at it last night and thinking "I really, really don't want to put ketchup on this zipper!" I'm just more upset because the eBayer didn't disclose the outside pocket zipper as tarnished. You could see the one on top of the bag, but it's not so bad on top. I lift up the flap and lo and behold there it is in all its tarnished glory!!!

make sure you do a test spot first! GL :)
I completely agree. And vietangel...I would do apply care for a few reasons, even though LMB products are wonderful, too (in fact, I use just the combo that Tracy suggests):

1. They are cheaper and work very well
2. Easier to find
3. Don't leave a heavy, flowery scent on your bags that lasts for a while (this might now bother you, but it does get to me since I have asmtha/allergies and heavy scents make me sneeze/wheeze).

HTH!

I would def. try Brasso...and even if you get a bit on the leather, no worries -- it comes right off!!

Is there anything on the LMB website that I can use to clean the stains off my PEARL MAB that was made from the rusting of the brass hardware? or anything to clean the brass hardware as well?

I am ordering the FOR HANDLES ONLY for my Sage and Stonewash Blue, that's the correct product for preventing handle darkening right?

Thanks in advance Minkettes!! (< I love this term)

Thanks Lo! I was worried about that. Question: Would you treat the zipper completely zipped or treat it open?

Baghag perhaps you could try cleaning it with one of those jewelry cleaning clothes. You know the one that you would use to clean sterling silver jewelry. I think I used that on my Market Tote hardware, and it seemed to do a good job of cleaning it. JMO

If you want to deal with non liquid, then autosol(in a tube, cream form) is good too. I use them to clean off my brass charms to a nice healthy shine & it makes the charm stay rust free for very very long. BTW I used those charms to make jewelry.

I've read through all the posts and have a quick question about Coach's leather conditioner. I know most of you guys prefer AG but for those who have used Coach's leather conditioner, do you think it is okay (safe) to use on my MAM? (I only want to buff out a few spots on the bag)

TIA

Hmmmm, I've heard talk in LV about Shining Monkey--it's sold at automotive supply stores. I believe it's like the AG Rain and Stain. Don't know if it's available in Canada. As for conditioner---I'm not sure what else is out there--maybe someone else will chime in!

Do you think it is a good idea for me to spent $75+ for LMB to apply this PROTECTION all over my SAGE MAM to prevent it from getting dark OR would you rather just let it darken because it makes the bag that much more beautiful?
