Anyone want to get a Chocolate Nikki?

Just a heads-up: the lovely peeps who have organized the Chocolate Nikki order have had a few TPFers cancel -- I found this out yesterday when I called Cory on the off chance that anyone had cancelled so that I could take their spot in the chocolate Nikki pool. (That conjurs up an interesting image...a pool full of chocolate Nikkis! Sigh...

...)

As luck would have it, there were three cancellations, so I got a bag. This means that as of late Friday afternoon, there were 2 spots left. I you are interested in one of these bags, call Cory on Monday!!!

Details: This is the Chocolate Nikki carried by Hillary Duff (see attached pics -- and note that the last pic is taken with flash). Very smooshy, pebbled chocolate leather with original brass hardware. It costs $600 plus $20 shipping (ouch), and is supposed to ship on 9/30. Not sure about the lining, sorry. Also, you can return this bag for a refund within 14 days if you don't like it. (Not likely...but the gesture is appreciated!)

What is the difference between this and dark brown?

As I understand the chocolate is lighter in color and is a bit lighter brown, the leather is thicker pebbled (very smooshy) and matte (unlike the dk. brown with is thinner leather and has a sheen).

I'm actually really torn between waiting for the Chocolate Nikki in January and keeping my eyes peeled for a deal on the Dark Brown. I've been tossing this one back and forth for about a week now....

Loquita - what HW will be on the bag...the new RM signature HW? What color?

On the special order, the hardware is the "old" brass hardware dogleash clasp. On the bag to be released into retail in January, it will have the newest hardware. HTH!

Thanks B. Jara - once I hit "submit reply" asking Loquita about the HW, I realized she had already included the info in her post. But it's nice to know that the Jan. retail bags will have the new HW, which is what I prefer.

Cory said that these would ship "very soon". I wonder if that means this week.

I did. I caved big time.

I may have grabbed the last one.

I sent Cory my info and she charged my card within 5 minutes (yesterday afternoon).

She kept saying that they are "shipping VERY soon".

What does that mean!?!?

But let me check again...I gave her my info. last Friday, btw -- and have sold another bag in anticipation!

UPDATE: So far no charge, no email receipt. Do you all think that I should contact Cory tomorrow? am getting nervous!!!
