Default A little disappointed with RM quality...
This is my fourth RM purchase but the only one that I've actually kept. I was really excited to get this in the mail and when it arrived on Thursday, I checked it out immediately as soon as I got home - everything looked good. I put my stuff it in and got it ready for Friday. Yesterday was the first time I used the bag and I'm 99.9% positive I didn't walk into anything and the MAC didn't get caught onto anything either. Just now, I was really bored so I went to take another look at her and noticed this rip/tear by the side seam.

I have no idea if it was already there before and it just got worse after one day's use or did it just happen yesterday? Regardless, it shouldn't have happened. I can't send it back to LB because well, I've already used it and because I took off the security tag already. So... my question now is.. has this ever happened to anyone else? What should I do with my MAC now? Any quick fixes? I might be crazy but I am seriously thinking of using some crazy glue right now.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the 2nd MAC I purchased (waiting for it in the mail) won't be flawed or my RM days might be over.

Oh no! Don't use crazy glue!! I would contact Codi @ RM and see if they can arrange a repair for you. You will have to pay the $20 shipping to get it back though. If you don't want to wait (I'm not sure of their turnaround time but last year it took abt 2 months for people to get their bags back) I would suggest looking up a cobbler locally and see what he can do for you. It would be a much cheaper and faster option IMO.

Sorry to hear this! I would definitely say this is a defective bag, You can email Sarah who is the CS manager at RM now and she will email you a prepaid shipping label to send your bag in to be repaired or replaced free of charged. Her email is sarahjeanne@rebeccaminkoff.com

You definitely DON'T want to super glue it.

It would be worth it to email LB as well - this is something that doesn't develop in a day, they might cut you some slack and work out the repair for you.

Thank you everyone for your quick replies! I just sent Sarah an e-mail and I'll send one to LB now as well.

I'm just hoping it won't get worse and won't happen throughout other parts of the bag.

If you bought it from LB, then they should let you exchange it. This has to be an isolated issue with the haze leather, i haven't seen a single QC issue pop up on them yet!

Maybe RM sewed the leather in too close to the edge, and it popped out. It seems like it would be hard to get that kind of rip on a haze bag from using it.

^ oh no!!! it does look like a manufacturers problem where the leather piece wasn't cut well and was sewn poorly. Contact LB since you purchased through them - they should be able to exchange faulty items for a brand new one - GL!!

I am sorry it happened to you but like the rest mentioned, it sure is a quality issue. I am sure LB would be able to exchange it for you. GL!

I am new to RM. Does this type of thing happen often?

You haven't seen the QC thread yet Nikki? It has mostly issues with older bags, so if you are buying those, you should have a read.
