Will there be Stonewash leather in the Spring 2010 collection?
I'm on the list for several SOs for stonewash leather but I'm not sure they will actually go through. Just in case I miss out on the stonewash with these SOs, does anyone know if there will be stonewash leather in Spring 2010 collection?
I'm not really a darling, mac or nikki girl so even tho those SOs seem to be rolling right along, the ones I am in seem to be up in the air (red/brown mini matinee, dk brown / red-brown MAB/MAM) |

If they are planning any stonewashed leather bags for spring, I don't believe it has been announced at this point. The SOs are to be made from very limited quantities of leather that they have.

I highly doubt they will be. I'm pretty sure RM scrounged around all her leather providers to find this just for us.

Thanks for the replies! that is what I was afraid of :(. Oh well, will keep my fingers crossed that one of my SOs go through.

There will not be stonewash but RM said she found some other leather that was very similiar that she was anxious to try out.

Hot Colors include Red, Royal, Salmon, Yellow and an amazing acid washed leather!(what is that???) There is a whole new lot of BW coming back for spring, Red and Black and Royal and Brown, Brown and Brown and Brown and Cream! As for stonewash, I found a lot of it and annouced it on TPF, but going forward, I have found something similar that I am going to bring around to try! |

Acid washed leather is the super soft kind. Isn't that what's used on Linnea Pelle bags?

^ That's enzyme washed. Acid washed brings to mind some of the Alexander Wang bags with that faded look, like acid washed jeans.

^ Hmm, I'm not sure, the Alexander Wang acid washed bags I've seen don't usually look that uniform... It's usually more like this or this or this. That MAC strikes me as more like a print, but it's hard to tell.
IA with your last comment. There are definitely some designs that look quite derivative of Alexander Wang and other designers, from the pics I've seen... |
