Could we keep going with this thread? I find it incredibly helpful (if a bit subjective) and I think that others, particularly newbies, might too! I've added a few items from my own observations along with some previous thread comments not yet reflected in the list. Also, I added the category of "suede/suede-like," just because I for one has no idea that the silver spot trim/Kiss & Makeups were actually suede -- you have can't really tell this unless you see one IRL, and since many RM fans don't get to see too many of the bags up close until purchasing...you get the idea.

I think violet would fit into the slight glaze category, but I haven't seen any other RMs so I don't have a good reference point.

does anyone know if Night (as in Night w/ Dark Spot) is smooshy? the list says "slightly glazed / slight sheen" -- does that mean it is closer to being structured?

I don't think Sunshine is soft and distressed is it?? It was a hard glaze coating that makes it stiffer than other leathers.. I think we need a new category "Distressed/ stiff" that would include Sunshine and most likely the Scarlett to come.

Everything in BOLD is what I added/ my thoughts.. Personally for this to work I think we need a new category (soft & smooth w shine: Wine, Dark Grey, Tomato, Emerald, Violet, stone, persimmon, Mocha, Magenta)= these are all the same leathers but they are in different categories below..?

** SEA GREEN is the same leather as Noir, D. Brown, Cloud Grey.. why is it in stiff/ structured category?

**ALSO- Wine & DarK Grey are the same leathers/ texture as Mocha & Violet, Emerald etc.., so how come they are in separate categories? Wine and D.G. both have a slight glaze/ shine..

** Sunshine is not soft but rather stiff..

** Midnight can also be in the "Matte" category AS WELL AS Royal Blue

** Is double cream really pebbled?? I thought it was like the noir/ sea green, dark brown leather..

^^ Since "Matte" leathers ARE "soft and smooth" we should change the soft and smooth category to "soft & smooth with shine"... or something b/c it's basically the same thing.

I think this is a great idea, LR! I agree with the more precise categorization...could you please adjust the list as such, and copy into another post? I have some other color/leather combos that we can add as well once the list is adjusted.
