Ladies, St Ives scrub is really bad for your skin! I'm an esthetician so I learned about all the skincare products. The apricot kernel in the scrub is very bad for your skin because the sharpness of the shell creates rips and tears in your skin and it can cause irritation and broken capillaries. I reccommend a gentler more effective exfoliator such as Dermalogica's daily microfoliant or other professional line.
I started to use Dermalogica's daily microfoliant however found it dried my skin so badly, that even after moisturizing, it felt very uncomfortable.
I've used this original formula probably over 20 years - gah! I'm super fair skinned and combo with dry cheeks and a t-zone and chin that still break out periodically even into my mid 40s. I've never found a better scrub at a better price. LOVE this stuff!
