Fashonvice - What's your experience with rain been? I love my saddle but don't take it out with even a chance of rain. I treated it but in a small sprinkle got spots on it that didn't go away. I'd love for it to get darker and age, but I don't want the spots! Mine is 2011, so maybe it's a different leather.... TIA

Rain hasn't been a problem. I live in the Pacific Northwest where it rains about 9 -10 months out of the year. I just make sure to blot any moisture with a towel as soon as I can if I've been in a downpour. The only issue I've had is when I got an oil stain on the back of my bag at a restaurant when I sat in a booth. Now I'm careful where I put down my bag, but in general the PS leather has been impressively sturdy.

Wow! Can I ask what you treated it with, if anything? I've been so temped to just get it over with and let mine get soaked so it will be even and I won't have to be so paranoid... Weird what a big difference that is!

My bag is untreated! I'm not a PS leather expert so maybe the year the bag was manufactured makes a difference. But no matter what you should be able to blend the spots on your bag whether it's with the proper product or a good cobbler. Good luck!

I wanted to know if any of you girls who have owned different PS1 bags would suggest to me the best color to get for the first one! I cannot decide if I should get a nice basic color, like brown or grey, or if I should get something more adventurous (since I'm spending so much anyway) like green or bright blue. Any feedback would be awesome! TIA~!
Hey! I remember having the same internal debate for my first PS1. The simple colours are great but I think your first should be a standout! The colours really draw you in so just go for whichever one you can't stop starting at :)

The suedes are SUPER beautiful! the colour will dull though, and just be careful because the lighter suedes tend to have a fair bit of colour transfer if they're not treated properly (and often).. i.e. you'll get your denim colour wearing the back of them! Looks-wise i prefer the leather to the suede, i think the way they wear and get really slouchy is so beautiful. I am jealous.. can i have the discount too?! :P

I definitely plan on getting the bag treated, im probably going to get that vectra product ive seen suggested here on the forum. From what ive heard all proenza leathers change color somewhat over time. I got the last one from forward by revolve, so we'll see how it turns out. Worst case i can easily return it. :) im excited though!

Excitement!!! Must share photo when you get it! It took me SO long to finally buy my first PS1 and then after I bought it I was like 'must...have....more!' haha I think I want the stone suede next. Though I'm not sure if I should just wait until next season and see what new suedes are out....

Wow never see the pestal green suede before. Pls post mod pix n detail pix of this beauty. I own a burgundy n bright red. No issue with burgundy but denim color transfer did happened to my bright red. Now I always make sure I put on leather lotion for my red after every other time i wear it.

Hey all!

My Tropical Green suede PS1 arrived today. The suede is very soft but sturdy. I got the medium size, so it is just barely long enough for crossbody. I think I would rather wear it on my shoulder anyway. I also ordered some Vectra16 suede protectant for it. Any advice on keeping up the suede is appreciated. Let me know what you all think! (sorry for the messy room!)

I also wanted to note that I secretly tested an area with water to see how it held up. I'm pleased to say the water dried right up with no darkening of the leather (and this is BEFORE treating it, I'm still waiting on the Vectra to be delivered). Good to know it wont be ruined if I get caught in the rain.
