Yes! Or give him the toothbrush with a little of the baby toothpaste on it...and let him do it himself.

Brush them as soon as they come out, I was told by the nurses. and do not use any tooth paste until he's 2.

I TRIED to brush every night, but that didn't really work out, haha.
But now that he's almost 2, we've been doing it every morning and night too. And with toothpaste. We started the twice daily thing around 18 months or so. |

Well, we should start as soon as the first tooth pops up. Let him try to brush himself & help him out as he goes so you get all the teeth. If he really doesnt like it you can trying using a soft cloth to clean them. My daughter is 2, I dont use any toothpaste but there are toothpastes just for babies like Nu-Tec Baby Toothpaste

We started as soon as the teeth started coming in but we only really did it then after baths. When he was old enough, we would brush first and then let him do it himself. Now that he has all his teeth and is over 2, we brush once in the morning and once at night.

My dd is 8 months old and only has her two bottom teeth. I try to brush them at least twice a day. At first she squirms and fusses but it only take me a few seconds. I then give her the tooth brush and she'll put in her mouth and chew on the bristles for awhile.

When your son's teeth start coming in. My little guy, he's 4 1/2 months and his first tooth is starting to come out and he's been very cranky. With my 2 older girls they started teething at 4 1/2 & 5 months and I started using a baby toothbrush as soon as their 1st tooth came out.

We used a toothbrush to brush my little guy's teeth when they first came in. For the longest time, he had 4 on top and 2 on the bottom.
He was not cooperative initially, so we had my DH "brush" my teeth, then we said it was his turn. After awhile, we skipped the part where DH brushed my teeth. Now he's two, and he's been brushing his teeth twice a day since he can remember. |

As soon as the teeth comes out...
I also try to wipe my baby's tongue with wet wash cloth even when they don't have their teeth yet.
you could do it for her till she's ready for the regular baby toothbrush.
