I am not pregnant, but was just thinking if I am eventually in that situation how would I do it? I'd like to be more creative than to shove the positive UPT in his face. (My DH is a bit of a germaphobe so I think that would gross him out. lol).

I am not very creative by nature so thought you girls might have some suggestions?

For our first, he was with me when the "positive" came up...as we both suspected I was pregnant.

For our second, I bought our son (at the time, he was 2 years old) a T-shirt that read "I'm a Big Brother" and had him wear it when Daddy came home! He didn't see it for a while because our son was a "whirlwind" at that age but it was cute when he finally read it.

He was a huge baseball fan so I bought a newborn-size baseball onesie and wrapped it like a gift and gave it to him to open!

I always thought of buying an "I love Daddy" bib and wrapping it up, but he guessed I was pregnant before I did. He said I just looked different. HA! He was right.

I was thinking about this too and wondering how I would do it when the day comes. I was thinking about ways and like a few of you mentioned the only thing I could think of was to buy something. Then I thought about taking a paper putting it in a fortune cookie that says....your going to be be daddy when he breaks it open. I know they do these things for wedding favors so they must do them for this.

I just told my hubby, but we took a picture of the positive Stick test & framed it as a gift for the grandparents, to be filled with a baby picture later.

This is what I planned to do. But I found out while we were on vacation in Vegas and couldn't keep quiet the whole drive home...so I shoved the test in his face, again.

Well I found out I was pregnant a day before Valentine's Day so I already had a few gifts for my husband anyway but at the bottom of the gift bag I included a baby bib that read "Here Comes Trouble" At first he was a little confused but within a couple seconds a light went on and he got really excited.

I actually made him a suprise gift bag with a onesie that says "Daddy's little wingman" a pregnancy book created for fathers to-be and I put the pregnancy test in there as well. I also made him a card and gave it to him :)

I was in such shock that I was really pregnant (even though we were trying) that I just woke him up (it was like 6 am, and I was following the directions on the package to a t) and shoved the little test stick in his face. He was really excited, at least! And very much awake very quickly!

We did wait till Valentines Day to tell anyone else, and we announced it by sending flowers to all the grand parents and great grandparents with our names + "baby."

This next time I'll try to think of something more creative to tell him.
