Default Umm I don't feel well... Advice pls..

OK so my Dr appt is tomorrow but I have been feeling really bad lately. With my first I had NONE of these problems. I am extremely tired all the time.. my body just aches all over.. it's like all of my muscles hurt. I get dizzy ALL the time. I can just be getting ready for work in the mornings and have to sit down because I get so dizzy and faint. I have almost passed out twice (I do know that it was because my body was overheated) but it's really scary. Just this past Friday I went to a Nationals game and I was fine until I walked up a flight of steps and when I got to the top I was sooo dizzy and faint I had to hold on to the rail. Then I ran to a seat because I was gonna drop.

Anyone else have these weird problems? I did a google search and it could mean that I am anemic or possibly some other more serious problems (one reason why I hate google).

The dizziness (like fainting) and the whole weakness over my body is freaking me out.

TIA!

I am so sorry to hear you are feeling this way. Most pregnancies are different and your reaction to this one may be different because it is a different fetus and your body chemistry has probably changed etc. Also it is the summer so it is easy to have your electrolytes thrown off anyway due to dehydration and heat. I would just try to take it a little easier, try not to over heat, drink adequate amounts of spring water and don't let your blood sugar get too low or too high. Also maybe when you are sitting down keep your feet up for a few minutes during the day. I hope you feel better soon !

Spoiled, I've also felt very dizzy where I thought I'd faint once or twice, but not for an extended period of time. I'm glad your Dr. appt is tomorrow so you can get checked out though...good luck and hope you feel better soon!!

Has anyone dealt with a sore throat though? I've had one for 3 days!

I felt dizzy and almost fainted once at the beginning of my 2nd trimester. Thank goodness I was with DH and he grabbed me. I think it's your growing baby putting extra strain on your body. And the heat doesn't help. Make sure you keep yourself hydrated all the time, and snack snack snack.

You may have an iron deficiency which is very common during pregnancy because your body needs to make extra blood. My OB had me on iron supplement in the last trimester and I had to take it up to 6 weeks postpartum.

Talk to your OB who is the best to assess your situation and health. I'd say don't worry, just take it easy and if you need to take time off from work, do it.

Hope you're feeling better soon. Glad you are going to the DR to be sure...

All 3 of my pregnancies were very different. My first at 21, was super easy...no morning sickness, aches, pains or much of anything. My second at 27 I got all the classic symptoms, the third one at 33 was the hardest...although I did not get any classic pregnancy symptoms I felt horrid 85% of my pregnancy...flu like symptoms, tired, aches and pains, developed migraines, weird rashes...I was just a mess...so I agree with previous poster every pregnancy is just different.

How far along are you?
Our expectant Mommies all need tickers, LOL!

There's SO much going on in that tummy it's crazy, but being even borderline anemic can really ruin days for you. Ask for a full blood workup and find out what your CBC's are and if you may be anemic or bordeline.
I was very borderline and just taking iron supplements made a HUGE difference.
Also, make sure you're drinking an obsene amount of fluids and do not let your blood sugar get low, eat snacks a lot.

Keep us posted!

I was very dizzy for my first trimester. The doc said it was just my body adjusting. But only once did I feel like I was going to faint. That was my phase with popsicles. Anything cold seemed to help alot!

It´s quite normal, I´ve had the same thing. Just remember to keep your bloodsugar up by eating a little every couple of hours.

I had this problem only with my second child. It was not enough oxygen in the blood, but I ended up with other serious conditions..

Iron supplements helped, drinking even when I wasn't thirsty helped, and just slowly working yourself back into walking and standing helps. Don't over do yourself, and don't be afraid to take breaks to sit when you walk for a while or exert yourself :)

I felt very similar to what you describe, absolutely horrible but in the 1st trimester. My dr did blood work and such and said that I was fine, hopefully your dr will be able to suggest some things that will make you feel better. My dr told me to consume more protein and I did feel a little better after a protein shake.

Hi ladies! OK so I am back from the Dr. He said that it's totally normal in a pregnancy to feel like this. He said that it's because when you stand for long periods of time, all of your blood goes to your feet. Because my heart is doing extra work with the little baby, it doesn't have enough time to get all of that blood back up to my heart and brain and this causes the dizziness. He gave me an iron supplement to try and told me to continue with my vitamins and see how I feel. He also told me the same things you all spoke about.. drinking MORE water.. more snacks throughout the day.. etc.

He told me to elevate my feet when i'm sitting and when im standing in line or standing still to move around. Just from one foot to the other but not to stand in one position for a long time. He also said to cut down on the exercise. Maybe I can't exercise during this pregnancy and to just take it lightly with a light walk during the day.

Sounds good? Again thank you all for your advice and concern!!

My big sonogram is August 8!!!
