Default For those of you with girls around 6 years old: What are you giving for Christmas?
Hi everyone,

I know that I'm a bit early here but I need to get started on Christmas shopping as soon as possible because I'm not sure how much time I will have in December. I was just wondering what you plan on giving your girls?

Nicole basically says she would like everything, lol...whether it's a toy for a baby or something for a 12 year old, she'd like to have it

Books are definitely on the list...but I'm not sure on what toys. Barbie definitely...

She loves Hannah Montana...any suggestions?? I'm lost

My DD is constantly playing with the Smurf houses and figurines. That combined with some of the DVD's of the classic cartoons would make a great gift.

Littlest Pet shop is also big with that age group.

My granddaughter is a little younger -- almost 5 at Christmas -- and she is dying for an American Girl doll. My younger daughter (her aunt) has brought her AG's out and she seems to love them, so it looks like that will be a gift this year. Little girls seem to love the accessories and furniture.

Littlest pet shop!! Great idea... I remember her saying something about them when the commercial came on TV but I couldn't remember what they were called

Every 6 year-old is different, so what is a perfect gift for one, may not be a perfect gift for another... If you gave my soon-to-be 6 year-old a Barbie, anything Hannah Montana, or anything Disney, she'd be completely disgusted and it would sit unused in the toy box. I think you know your kids better than any of us, so I'm not sure I could offer any suggestions. Have fun shopping though and good luck!!! I'm jealous that you are getting a heads-up on Christmas early! Maybe I need to do that.

A lot of children that age, especially girls, are interested in arts and crafts. Art sets, drawing sets, paints, or simple jewelry or beading kits might interest her. My dd changes almost daily, and some days she like Polly Pocket sets and other days she wants to build with blocks or draw. Right now she really wants a pillow pet (she is 5-1/2), but that could change before the holidays.

There's just sooooooo much out there!

I nearly bought a skip it but it would have been soooo expensive to ship it from the states
