Just an update....its getting better, but maybe because its no longer summer and my feet aren't expanding due to the hot weather!!!! Still wearing the larger sizes tho; I've pretty much conceded to the fact that its permanent!!

Oops, you posted your question a little late. I wore closed shoes all through my pregnancy (even if I was home) because a friend's mother said that will prevent my feet from growing big. There is no scientific study for this, but whether or not wearing shoes actually prevented any size change, one thing for sure, after I gave birth, my feet size stayed the same.

NO WONDER, I cant seem to find shoes that fit.
I never knew that your feet dont go back to normal size.. (who tells me these things) Ive been trying to buy new shoes for a very long time, and keep wondering why my normal size of 5 1/2 or 6 dont fit. They are eitehr too big or too small. I have no idea at the moment what size i am. I should go to the shops and find out. I just havent been ablw to find shoes. and been wearing flipflops.(same ones since i was pregnant) Its been 9months now. SO hopefully my shoe dilemma will sort itself out soon. I NEED NEW SHOES!! LOL |

my feet seemed to swell a bit, but yes, after I delivered I was back to my old size within a month or 2.

Yes mine did, but mine really didn't grow...they just swelled a bit during my last month. I was actually pretty worried that they would grow and wouldn't go back to normal because I have a closet full of beautiful shoes that would have been a tremendous amount of money to replace if they hadn't!

I'm not sure if this is the correct area to post this thread or not so please move it if it isn't. I know this seems really shallow, at least it does to me, but the one thing that is keeping me from wanting to get pregnant is that I'm afraid my feet might grow and afterwards I won't be able to wear any of my shoes anymore. And I have a LOT of shoes. I know there are a lot of mommies on here so any advice would be good. Is there a way to keep it from happening?

Actually I think I should have phrased it, when "they" become pregnant. Haha!

you can always look at it this way.. if they do end up growing, you could sell all the shoes that you really just can't make fit anymore on eBay and take that money and buy a whole new set of shoes!!!
