Hi Ladies!
Still here in the hospital and about to be discharged
The whole labor experience was pure bliss and probably one of the most incredible journey and painful experience I managed to come by...
Last Thursday I went for another round of doppler, then the next thing I heard was our OB saying "you will have to give birth in 24 hours"...then go for a non-stress now then come back to my clinic...and so we did the stress showed positive results but then when my cervix seemed to have somehow ripened and was 1cm, she said I could still wait for the 25th so that Simone would hit the 38th week.
Then I raised my concern about the decreased fetal movement, I told her I could not stay put at home knowing doing kick counts all day...we asked when is the soonest and safest time to deliver? she said Friday is okay we will have to induce you.
We checked in Thursday night and was given a cervix softener 9:30 am...from 9:30 I felt mild contractions until 1:30 and from my room I was sent at the pre labor room. I had another internal exam and I was 3-4cm by then.
We went straight to the birthing suite and was hooked in monitors for contractions and fetal heart rate...by 3:30 my contractions were getting stronger but not closer. Then I got stuck at 3-4 cm by 10 pm until 8am. No sleep it was and I was in pain the whole night! 8am my OB went and still stuck an 4cm I has another insertion of cervix softener so by 12:30 my contractions was in full swing! ...I was kicking in pain and asked for epidural, after the final internal exam things went crazy because I went up to 10cm fully dilated w/ in 20 mins! that was after OB broke my water bag...they had to set up real quick..I had 4 practice push then 4 full blown push...the she was out!
It was surreal seeing the li'l creature kick inside me for 9mos!!!
so here she is Victoria Simone born July 23 3:04 pm 5.10 pound via vaginal birth
