My lovely Mom purchased the Juicy Couture Maclaren Stroller for our baby girl that will be arriving sometime in November. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it and had to have it! Plus, Maclaren Strollers are highly recommended from people I know. They're lightweight and easy to manage. Only problem I have is when our little girl is a newborn (the first few months) and I decide to take her out... there is no way to clip the car seat into the stroller so I will have to take her out of the carseat and place her in the stroller (which I was told IS okay for newborns since it has an adjustable seat). I'd like to know your opinions on this though. Almost all of the people I have talked to mentioned it is easier with the travel system strollers but they grow out of the infant car seats so fast that it's not worth it to buy the infant carseat and the stroller it clips into. They just purchased an infant carseat and a stroller that the baby will be able to use until they are a few years old (like this Maclaren stroller).
So what my question is... is what did you girls do for your newborns stroller and carseat wise? Any opinions on what I have been told? I also attached a pic of the Juicy stroller for those of you who haven't seen it.

I didn't start putting my son in my Maclarens (first I had the Quest, and later bought the Triumph) until he could sit up by himself. I got a travel system for the newborn stage.
Maybe you get a carseat (get one that goes up to the 33 lbs, that should last a while) with a carseat frame stroller (they are pretty inexpensive) until she's big enough for the Maclaren? http://www.amazon.com/Graco-SnugRide...8&sr=1-1-spell |

I also had a travel system for the newborn stage. It was just so much easier not to have to disturb the baby. Especially while they were sleeping. I would just lift the car seat and snap it into the travel system and we were ready to go! It's really up to you and what you feel you need.

just a thought. since you have that stroller you can get a snap and go for when she is in the infant car seat, if i am correct most infant seats snap right on. it's light weight and easy to use and then once is in a big girl car seat she will be able to use the stroller your mom got you...which by the way is too cute!!

How about one of those snap-on frames? They are inexpensive and you can use that for the first few months until she is old enough for the Juicy stroller.
I remember it was horrible when I tried to move my son from the carseat to a stroller. If I woke him up, very hard to put him back to sleep. Less time, too! |

Very cute stroller! I agree with the other PP's...we're registered for the Graco Snugride 32 (I think that's the name of it), the Graco stroller frame, and a Maclaren Quest for when the baby can sit up on her own.

We used the Graco snugride for 6 months and just snapped it into the Snap-n-Go Stroller frame http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=2327597...plus, the snugride infant seat is a life saver when baby is sleeping in the car and you want to transport baby from car to house without waking her up! Trust me, it will make your life easier
We used a regular stroller for DS when he was 6 months old.

I had a travel system for both of my kids and went to just the stroller when they got older. Much easier for when they're infants and are asleep!

My son also had a travel system... We finally got him out of the bulky stroller and got a Maclaren Techno XLR. It came with a car seat adapter, which we will use with our next baby. You should look into the car seat adapter and see if it is compatible with your stroller.

I actually fell in love with the stroller too when I saw it...but had to think about the same issue you're having..in the end, we've decided to get the Bugaboo Bee with the adapters so we can fit our infant car seat into it when our baby is an infant....also we went in to "test" drive the various strollers and the Bugaboos (IMHO) were the best in movability..and it was light!

Oooh, that is a super cute stroller! I agree with the others: save it for later and go with a travel system for now. It is so nice to be able to pick up the car seat when they fall asleep in it instead of trying to transfer them in/out. Trying to transfer a sleeping baby is nerve-wracking!

i also vote for the baby trend snap n go. that's what i registered for for my baby's first few months. graco also has one, too. since you already have a great stroller, i don't think you need a travel system, imo.

I love your stroller. Too bad I'm not having a girl or else I would get one.
I would go with the snap and go also. It's a pretty good deal, you might even be able to find one used on Craigslist. |

I think it is very worth it to get a travel system. My son is 7 months old and I still use his.
That stroller is very cute! I really wanted that one for my daughter, but ended up sticking with the bugaboo I already had. I am able to snap the peg perego car seat into the bugaboo and when my daughter outgrew that, I used the seat it came with. Now I'm using it with my son and I got the wheelboard for my daughter. |

is that a maclaren techno xlr? bc the techno xlr has an attachment so you can snap on an infant carseat.. we used it for the first few months and then switched to using just the stroller when our son outgrew the infant carseat. if it's not the xlr, maybe you can see if the xlr comes in that style (super cute btw!). if not, then i agree with the PPs who mention using the graco stroller frame with the carseat.
