Default Strange question about pregnant bellies

I am currently trying to get pregnant and I have scars on my stomach (stretch marks from gaining and losing weight and others from picking at scabs--gross I know, but I had an anxiety disorder before and unfortunately I did this)

Anyways I have scars already before I'm getting pregnant, is there anything I can do to help get rid of them so when I'm pregnant I won't be embarrassed to have people look at my pregnant belly and so I can hopefully take some preg. belly pics

You could get laser surgery as long as you are not pregnant. Maybe some thick makeup for pictures. Usually your stomach is covered up so unless you want to show it, you can keep it hidden under clothing. Good luck

Honestly, I would try not to worry about it, though I'm sure that's easier said than done. I doubt anyone will even notice. 95% of people that will see your belly will only see it clothed. The other people who might see your bare belly will only be ppl who are really close to you (I think my mom, my DH, and my BFF who was also preggers saw mine and that was it), and my guess is they'll be so happy you're pregnant that they won't notice. Keep in mind quite a few people get stretch marks when they're pregnant, so they'll probably also just chalk it up to that. I doubt they would show in pictures either, since you'll be taking them from further away.

If you're really uncomfortable about it, it's probably best to see a dermatologist before you're pregnant to see what you can do. As Mrs. MC says, I think laser treatment is one option, or retinols, but you don't want to mess with either of those while you're pregnant.

I have a couple scars on my stomach although you can barely notice them, they don't show up in pictures. Honestly, don't worry about it! But there might be some topical ointments you can put on them to get them to fade...does Strivectin do this? haha (I think) Just make sure it's safe to use while pregnant just in case you're pregnant before you know it. :) Good luck!
