Default Spotting while pregnant

I keep spotting, and it's driving me crazy!!! It's the third time since finding out I'm pregnant...and I'm just 10 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I miscarried last year, and never bled at all, so this time around I'm just a nervous wreck! Each time I see blood my heart stops, and I think the worst.

Anyone else have any experience with spotting? This morning I spotted and I noticed a little blood clot, but since it stopped the doc. says I should be fine. It's just such an emotional roller coaster!

Sorry if this is TMI, just hoping someone else has gone thru this and had a healthy baby. I just need some reassurance to keep being positive at the moment, thanks.

Don't worry too much.

I am 37th weeks now.

I posted almost the same thing when I was in my 6th week and my 8th week. It stopped after that.

I know no matter what people tell you, you would still worry. I was in the same boat. I cried once I saw the brownish spotting. I was so afraid. I even called in sick once when I saw the spotting in the morning. Mine lasted for a few days at the 6th week, and lasted for another few days at the 8th weeks.

But believe me, everything is fine.

Did you see the little heart beat yet?

Good Luck!!!!!

try to relax.. I know it is hard... I had spotting with my son at 9 weeks.. I freaked out went to the dr and everything was fine ( saw the heartbeat for the 1st time).. I spotted a few more times during the pregnancy ( it seemed to happen everytime I went to high altitude/ I lived in Colorado the 1st half of my pregnancy/went to tahoe when I was 30 weeks). Everything turned out fine and I had my son at 39 weeks. I had a previous miscarrage so I was on high alert. As long as it stops and starts and the bleeding does not get heavier you are probibly fine. Have you tried to make an appt with the dr? If you are concerned they should let you come in to get checked. good luck!!!

I spotted for a couple of days in the beginning, turns out it was nothing. Lots of women spot with no harm done. Wishing you the best!

I spotted a few times as well. Both times it was because I had a UTI and didn't even know it. Doc said it made my uterus contract which caused the bleeding. Everything turned out fine though. I wouldn't worry too much. Of course if you are very worried, going to your doctor can set your mind at ease!

Thanks everyone...I do feel a little better now. The first two times I spotted, I did get ultrasounds and the heartbeat was found each time. I go in on Monday for the second appt. so I will be a little nervous until then.

Once again thanks for all your responses!

Sorry you're having to deal with this stress. I spotted around 8-9 weeks, and my BFF did too (we got preggers a month apart!) I remember we were both really freaked out about it, but it turned out fine -- we both have beautiful little boys now. It's apparently pretty common in the beginning, happens in somewhere around 20-25% of pregnancies if I remember right. So hopefully it will be nothing. Check with your doc if it will help set your mind at ease.

It really is an added stress when this happens, esp. when you miscarried last year. Same thing happened to me with my younger son. After miscarriages and inability to conceive, spotting during the pregnancy just freaked me out. It was around the time you are in pg. Fortunately, everything was fine (I did call or see the dr. each time I noticed it) and he was born 39th week.

Good luck!

I also have spotting for both of my pregnancies. My kids are fine. Dun worry too much about it. U will add extra stree onto yourself only. Get plenty of rest, if U see any unusual heavy spotting or U dun feel good. See your gynae immediately.

I have had 3 pregnancies, one of which was a miscarriage. I spotted with the 2 pregnancies that resulted in healthy babies.

i spotted everyday from my 3rd week up to 3 months. It means an unstable implentation. Lie down as much as possible and whenever you can. If you're only spotting once in a while, then just relax and make sure you get plenty of rest. In my case where it was none stop for over 2 months, I had to quit my job, hire a maid and be on bedrest.

i had a subchorionic bleed at 12 weeks, thankfully it was small, but it scared the heck out of me. i went in for an ultrasound the next day, and baby was kicking and very healthy, thank goodness. but because of that, i've had random days of brown/light tan spotting, and even though it's happened 3-4 times, i worry each and every time. my midwives have told me to relax, spotting can even happen even after intercourse because the cervix is so sensitive during pregnancy, but i think the only time i will seriously stop worrying is when i have my baby in my arms :)

I spotted w/both of my pregnancies. Actually with my last pregnancy, it was so bad that I thought I had miscarried. Not to get to graphic but I went to go pee and out came a lot of 'stuff' and I swear I had miscarried. Worse yet, I was camping and couldn't get to a hospital or anything and I was only about 10 weeks. Once I got back they detected a hearbeat and the baby was fine. My dd is now 2 years old and just fine! But always error on the side of caution and always call the Dr. everytime you spot, don't worry about being a pain in the ass, this is your baby and your health.

I had some spotting around 10 weeks and had to get an ultrasound to make sure everything was okay. Everything worked out fine and my DD was born 3 weeks ago today...my advice is try to relax (I know it's difficult) and just maintain good contact with your doctor when these incidents occur to help give you a sense of comfort.
