One of my first symptoms of both my pregnancies were being tired ALLLLLL day dispite getting a full nights sleep. Totally normal!! I remember when it was my lunch break at work, going outside to my car and taking a nap. I'd have one of my co-workers come and get me when it was time to clock back in!!! And congrats on your pregnancy!!!

Yes this is normal. I was tired all the time up until about 15 weeks or so. It gets better. Try and rest when you can. And congrats on the pregnancy!

The first 2 mos, I go to sleep around 8:30. I cook dinner, get babies ready for bed and go to sleep myself. So tired those early months

Same for me but I heard the sicker you are, the stronger the baby. I kept telling myself that and it made me feel better

sad, but true. I felt fine, a little tired, but fine.... until i hit week 6. Then I started getting all day morning sickness & I was going to bed from 8pm to 9pm at the latest. I also pushed back my wake up time by an hour.... and still didn't feel rested & needed to nap after work.

I'm still pretty exhausted & while getting better, i'm still getting nauseated & throwing up some... i'm in my 12th week now & I've lost about 7lbs. I'm really hoping that my appetite comes back soon.

Being tired is what clued me in this last time...it finally hit me that I might be when I felt like I needed to stop and take a nap halfway through my 20 minute commute home! It got much better around 12 weeks though, and I felt much more normal after that.

Yes... it's normal to be tired all the time. I remember taking a nap right after work and the naps would last 2-3 hrs. I often napped through dinner. I'm still pretty tired on random days.

yes, this is totally normal!! actually in one of my pregnancy books it joked that in the first trimester, if you didn't know you were pregnant, you would probably be convinced you were deathly ill, dying of some terminal disease. remember the season finale of Desperate Housewives, were Lynette starts feeling so sick she goes to her doctor, convinced that her cancer has come back..when in fact she's 6 weeks pregnant..with twins! so yeah, pretty normal to feel crappy in first trimester, in fact some doctors say it's a good sign to feel nausea early on, i guess it's a sign your hormone levels (hcg) are increasing..

anyway, i can totally relate to what you are feeling now. early on in my pregnancy got morning sickness/nausea and was very sensitive to smells, plus there were some days i felt so tired i just sat on the couch and watched TV half asleep. i remember feeling so sick i kept wondering "how do people do this a 2nd time around (with a toddler to chase after)??". anyway, trust me it does get better in the 2nd trimester..nausea subsides, appetite increases, as well as energy level goes up. after 16 weeks or so i started feeling like a normal person.

Congratulations! It's normal to feel tired all the time especially in first trimester. It gets easier but still pretty tiring. Just rest when you body tells you to.

Yup, definitely totally normal... I just found out myself and the first thing I noticed was just a total lack of energy. I went to Disney World a few weekends ago and I thought my family was going to have to carry me out of the park at the end of the night after being there all day. Now when I get in from work (teaching dance) I have to hit the couch to lay down straight away.

Congratulations! And I'm hoping this stage will pass like everyone says it does!
