So we're about to start our baby room and I need ideas please. Do you fab ladies mind showing me photos of yours? Thanks a bunch.

My daughter room follows the theme of Zeddy & Rubarb from Mamas & Papas. She was all the furnature from there too.

We are redoing DD's room sometime next month. When we get done I'll post pics!

Here's our baby girl's nursery. The only furniture we bought was the crib. Everything else we had in the house already. We ended up spending the most on the recess lighting and paints.

^^I love your daughters room. I was thinking browns and blues too and wondered if it was too boyish after seeing that I love the idea for boy or girl

^^wow those are nice. I like this one do you think it could be used for either or? The walls are a dark tan color almost like the boarder on the blanket. This set has a lamp, mobile etc

Theimporterswife-That room is absolutely exquisite, can I move in?

I didn't spend a lot on nursery furniture because I knew when my kids got older, I'd break the bank on their big kid furniture.
With that being said though, I still spent a good amount on all the "extras" that go into a nursery, such as bedding, window treatments, wall art and that sort of thing.

For my son's nursery, we spent money on a huge chair that folds out into a twin bed and also a cedar chest. Both pieces I know I'll have in his room for a lot of years, but we went cheap on the crib and a changing table and stained an existing dresser to match his crib. When he turned 3, we broke the bank ordering his big boy set.

For my daughter's room, we went cheap on the crib, but I spent money on bedding, a chandelier and just all the little "details" that complete the room. We also used existing IKEA furniture and painted it to match her room. This is her room
